Chapter 3, Date Night I had a big date with Michael. He actually called as he promised he would the night before. And we made actual plans for this date. I was super happy. Super nervous. And oh, so excited. I was not expecting this to be platonic with him. To end up in a marriage or something. I just hoped maybe we would date for a few months. Be friends for life. And then go our separate ways. I was not one of those desperate clinging chicks that always had to have a man. One who begged them to stay. I always figured if they wanted to leave let them. There were many more men out there in the world. Why wait around for something that was not going to happen. That was how I saw things. I pout my lips plumper as I apply another coat of strawberry lipstick on my lips. I tousle my hair in the palm of my hand, so the bounce curls a little more. I hated my hair. It never did anything that I wanted it to. I applied some make up to hide my natural freckles I had. I only had a few suns kissed spots. Nothing major. Bianca and I always hung out over at the beaches every weekend in the summertime. When the rich boys were on holiday in town. "So, tonight is the night?" remarks Bianca. She had got off work from her second job Domino's pizza. She smelled like it to. She had a copy of Bop in her hands as she flipped through the pages. "Tonight, is the night" I tell her with a wink. "Are you nervous?" she asks me. "A little bit. Butterflies" I giggle as I pat my tummy. "God you are so lucky" she sighs. "ask him if he has a friend" she jokes. "If it goes well sure" I say. "I am so envious of you right now" she teases me. "Thanks. Go take a shower. Or make me a pizza" I tease back. She laughs as she heads out of my room to change. She left her magazine on my bed. I notice Michael was splashed on the front cover. Information was on it about the new movie he was going to star in. I gasp as I grab it. I had to see what the press was saying about our movie. It the hype was all it was meant to be. I was apart of it. I skim through the ads of Kissing Coolers and Caboodles to get to the part with Michael in it. He was interviewed. As was Leah and a few other cast members to. I got so into the article with him I did not hear someone knocking on the door. • ❤︎ • "Camilla, Michael is here!" calls out Bianca. "Camilla" she yells for me. "Sorry!" I stammer as I go to get up off my bed. There was Michael at my door frame smiling. His soft feathery brown hair was perfectly in place. His eyes twinkled. He looked pleased to see me. He had roses. Pink ones. "Ah, for you" he mutters in a nervous cute tone. He thrusts the flowers at me. "Thank you! That is so sweet of you" I gush as I take the flowers from him. "I see you read my article. God Bop has the cheesiest stuff" he laughs. His cheeks turn a lovely shade of pink. "That was Bianca's. Not mine" I giggle as I lead him out of my room. I forgot I had his poster in one corner of my room among many many other posters I had hanging up. I toss Bianca her magazine. "You, left that in my room" I tell her. "Oh thanks" she laughs. Now she was blushing. "Have fun you two" she tells me. "I figured for our date I would take you out to dinner and dancing if you like to dance. And we could walk on the board walk were there are a lot of fun shops" he offers. "Oh, I love it down there. Sure" I agree. Bianca takes my flowers for me. I take my purse and I am ready to go. Michael was wearing a crisp white shirt with a blue blazer over it. With blue jeans on. He looked so good. I could not take my eyes off him. He had sunglasses on top of his head. He offers me his arm and opens my door for me. I thank him them follow out the door. When we get to the parking lot, I notice a guard was waiting for him outside there. And his sports car was there. A sleek red one. With the top down. • ❤︎ • "Top up or down?" he asks. "Oh down" I say with a shy smile. I did not want him to think I worried about my hair all the time. And be one of those girls. But I did hate my hair. He opens his car door for me. Neighbors were curiously staring from windows and standing around us outside. I was sure he was used to all that. I get my seatbelt on once I was in his car. I was wearing a fancy hot pink dress for him. I cross my tan legs. I had heels on for tonight. Some bangle bracelets on my arm. One that reminded me of Madonna's style. The shirt had blue and pink on it. I wore a light jean jacket over it. In case it was chilly out later. "You look so beautiful tonight Camilla" he suddenly says to me. "Thanks Michael. You look so handsome. You always do" I admit. Then I am blushing now. "Thanks" he chuckles. He looks pleased by my remark. He starts the car. It purrs for him. When we go, I notice how fast it pulls out. I hear it burn a little rubber when he leaves the driveway. I giggle. The radio is playing a George Michael song on the radio. Once we are on the highway Michael reaches over holding my hand into his. Lacing my fingers with his. We go to a fancy restaurant. One I could not afford to go to myself. It was a five star. There was a ball room for dancing with a live band to. Michael had reservations for us. We soon are led to a table right away. One outside by the water so we could see the yachts over by the bay. • ❤︎ • "This is lovely" I gush as I watch the boats. "I love it here" he mentions to me. "one day I plan on buying a boat myself" he admits. "Boating is so classy. Fun" I tell him. "Did your family boat?" he asks. "or you?" "My grandpa had a houseboat. We used to fish off it. It was a blast" I admit. "That would be fun" he tells me. "You are so easy to talk to" I say. He grins. "I hoped you would feel that way. I am so glad you came out tonight with me" "I am to" I say. "Here are your menus. The special tonight is our duck" the waiter tells us as he hands us menus. "Thank you" Michael says. "I would like a bottle of your white wine please" he tells him. "Certainly, what year sir?" he asks him. They chat as I glance over the menu. Wow so pricy. What would I order? I did not eat that much. I did not want to waist a pricy meal. If I ended up taking it home, then Bianca and I could share it maybe. What did she like to that I did? "Did you like white wine?" Michael asks me. "That is perfectly fine" I say to him. He nods. "Great!" he says. The waiter nods then leaves. The band was playing a Gloria Estefan song. Instrumental one. No one was singing. It was fun. Upbeat tone. I tap my finger on the table. I loved music. "We can dance after we eat. Then hit the beach" offers Michael. "Sounds fantastic" I reply to him. "What got you into acting?" he asks me. "I always wanted to try. I did plays in high school was all. I am more into writing. Bianca likes to act" I explain. "I write books. I hope one day to be a romance writer" "Really? That is something" says Michael. "I am glad you joined our set" "Me to. I never thought we would get to meet" I admit. "Here we are" he softly says. He places a hand on top of mine. His finger brushes on my fingers. A warmth spreads in my arm. Excitement flushes in my face. A light breeze flows in my hair. Our eyes locked on one another. The waiter brings our drinks. We order our food. I get a fettucine meal with shrimp in it. It was divine. I knew Bianca would love it to. Then after we have more drinks and dance. • ❤︎ • "Woah I am tipsy" I laugh as Michael dips me back up I felt a rush of dizzy come to my head. "We can go on that walk now" he offers. "Sure" I agree. We get the rest of our food bagged to go. So, fancy like. And Michael pays for our meal. He tips the waiter. Then we are on the way to the beach. He parks so close to the beach. And we take off our shoes before walking in the sand. As we walk along the shore there was a food stand. Michael gets me a cola. "I am having a blast with you" he says as the sun sets in the west in front of us. Beautiful pinks splashed across the sky that night. "I am to" I sigh. "When can I see you again?" he asks as he holds my hand in his. "Any time" I softly say. "Yeah?" he asks me. I nod. "I was hoping you would say that" he says to me. He pulls me in his embrace. Our voices get quiet. No more talking as his eyes fall to my lips. "Can I kiss you?" he softly asks me. I manage to nod yes. Then I feel my eyes close as our heads get closer. I soon feel his lips warm up mine. My lips press into his lips. So perfectly. Our kiss deepens as his steady arms hold me tightly. What a wonderful way to end a first date. I could not wait for the next one with Michael. •♡•♡•♡•♡•♡•♡•♡•♡•♡•♡•
