Selene Melvissil POV.
My heart caught in my throat as the cage’s metal door was pulled open and someone rushed in to grab me painfully by the arm, causing me to wince.
“If you tamper with my Lord's merchandise, you will pay double the price” a calm cold voice reached my ears and the woman holding me pushed me away, sending me hurtling straight at the man.
He caught me, his sharp green eyes roaming over my features before his lips twitched as he tossed a suitcase at the woman and turned to leave.
My eyes were wide as he pulled me along, sparing me a single sharp glance that sent chills down my spine as he pulled me through a long corridor and out through a red colored door.
I stumbled after him as he kept walking, his eyes never glancing backwards. As soon as we left the building, he led me to an open car and unceremoniously tossed me inside of it.
My head slammed hard against the other end of the car at the force of the push and a cry of pain left my lips. f**k, that hurts.
“If there is a hint of blood on her or an injury, beta. You will have to deal with me” a low voice growled from the seat opposite mine and my body stiffened with fear.
That same voice, it sent shivers of fear down my spine as I slowly turned around– my eyes unable to meet that of the man.
“My apologies, Alpha” the man's sincere and fearful voice reached my ears and I felt the gravity of the power the man before me held, enough for that other guy who struck fear in others to be so vividly afraid of him.
“Raise your head” he ordered and my brain and body movements completely shut down at that moment. But I made no single move to obey him, I could-.
“Do not make me repeat it” he said after a small amount of time passed and it sent shivers down my spine but still, I refused to look into his eyes.
I was afraid of what I would see.
“Raise your damn head” he grabbed my chin and pushed my head upwards to stare at him but I instantly shut my eyes tightly as whimpers of fear filled the air.
He sighed, his hand pushing my face from side to side before he took his hand off and for a single beat, I heard nothing else and felt my brow furrow.
“What's going on? We were sold? At a f*****g auction house?” My wolf's voice filled my mind and I physically let out a sigh of relief at finally having her back and sounding better than she had been sounding after that syringe was injected into us.
“Where have you been?” I asked, my mind leaving my body to speak to her and she hugged with annoyance.
“With the moon goddess” she said and my eyes widened.
“Really?” I asked, my voice bothering on disbelief and she gave me the stink eye which brought a small smile of amusement to my lips.
“Of course not, I was inside of you all this time. Just far too weak”she said as if I was too stupid not to be aware of the information and an amused laugh left my lips, albeit softly.
“Do I put a collar on you? Maybe attach a chain on it so you can move when I want you to” a chilling voice whispered by my ears and abruptly, I was pulled out of my mind space and my eyes snapped open to find Violet colored orbs staring ominously at me.
Without thinking, I screamed as I swung my right leg and the figure above me let out a groan of shock and pain as he staggered backwards.
“Y-you..” he trailed off as he bowed over, his hands on his d**k and my eyes widened with shock, that voice sounded way too familiar to me.
The man who had bought me, that was his voice.
I almost cried at how misfortunate I was and my body began to tremble as I pushed myself into the other end of the car, fear almost making me go mad as the man tried to get himself.
His eyes were purely bloodshot as it settled on mine and I knew, I just knew that I was done for. There was no way I could escape this time. Why had my reflexes kicked in at such a time!.
“Get down, immediately” he ordered but I couldn't, I knew that it I did then I would be killed but a thought came to me. He paid so much for me, he wouldn't want to waste such an amount of money, would he?.
“D-don't forget y-your thirty million dollars” I stuttered out, bracing myself for repercussions but the man seemed surprised at my words and a chuckling sound reached me from the other side of him.
His beta was laughing, the man gave him a single look before turning to me with the red bleeding away slowly. He eyed me with faint amusement before he spoke up.
“Yeah. You're right. I shouldn't forget my thirty million dollars, lock her up”His order was swift and commanding before he turned around and quickly disappeared before my eyes.
He disappeared?.
“Check around, you might see him. Of course he disappeared. He's a f*****g Hybrid”hy-what now?
Hybrid? How was that possible? The only living hybrid was the cold and ruthless Alpha Vincenzo….
Wait a minute, was he Alpha Vincenzo?
“Really? And I thought you were smarter than this”my wolf quipped with exasperation and my eyes widened with shock and as I was pulled out of the car roughly, my mind raced with thoughts as I went numb.
I was in the territory of Alpha Vincenzo.
This wasn't good at all and I've caused him trouble. I was as good as dead.
