Chapter 2Scott had never been a big fan of paperwork, and for the last several days it seemed as though paperwork was all he’d done. Reading it, discussing it, signing it, driving to the paperwork and from the paperwork, then taking and making phone calls because of it. It wasn’t even a big loan because his dad was covering most of it, but the hoops the bank was making him jump through had Scott believing he’d asked for enough funds to purchase eBay. Then there was insurance, appraisals, inspections, permits, licenses, alongside the official proclamation that he’d give up his first-born child and left testicle if he defaulted on any of it.
