Val was shaken out of unconsciousness with the loud clashing of metal on metal and desperate screams. She could smell smoke and felt the echoing crackle of fire. She struggled to clear her head, the activity around her adding to a sense of urgency as she cleared the fog around her. It was dusk and the stronghold seemed filled with chaos and fire. Val got up, seeing that Henrik had already left and readied herself. She drew her blades and headed through the corridors to find what was going on. In the courtyard was a group of vampires, likely sent by the Fulcrum to overwhelm the fortress.
As the sides surged back in for another clash, she joined with the advance of the allies and charged into the fulcrum soldiers with her weapons drawn. As she cut into the opposing forces
