Chapter 3
After the attempted assassination, Val was more than a little on edge. She thought of herself as a warrior and her strength and success left her all too easily forgetting that there were others that were strong and likely more bloodthirsty. She and Henrik met up with Kuro and Ivy at the edge of a mountain complex near the coast. It was called the Shadow Port. Inside were miles of underground tunnels rivers and bunkers that the vampyre nation had taken over and expanded since the cold war.
Henrik nodded to Ivy, paused then offered the same gesture to Kuro. “How was your trip? We met with an assassin on ours, The Blood Knife.”
