Adara’s mouth fell open. She hadn’t realized she’d been interrupting the Moon Cub that often.
“Oh—uh… yes. I suppose I have.” She actually stuttered, which was wildly out of character. “I’m terribly sorry, Cassiopeia! I didn’t notice how much I was interrupting you.”
“I think you need to stop talking now. Cassiopeia wants you to be quiet,” Kieran whispered loudly, leaning back toward her.
“Yes, I think I finally got the hint…” Adara muttered.
Cassiopeia folded her hands neatly. “Let me ask you once more, Adara. Are you certain you do not want to hear the Moon Goddess’s decision about you?”
“You know what? I do want to know her decision,” Adara said, straightening. “I’d be kicking myself in a few years if I didn’t at least hear what she had to say.”
