Lyra and Rikko looked at each other, confused. The room was silent, only the quiet buzz of the lights could be heard.
Lyra kneeling beside Orion, helped him sit up slowly. "Orion, was that a vision? I mean, a real vision?"
Unexpectedly, a cold draft spread through the air, despite the fact they were in a building. On the desk, the clovers were changing colour, slowly bleeding into a deep red.
A crash echoed somewhere in the city, and it sounded like it was coming from the forest. The momentum was so strong that it knocked the clovers off the desk and scattered all over the floor.
"That sound…" Orion murmured. "I know it. I don't remember why, but I know it."
Lyra stepped back, eyes wide. "Orion… what is happening?"
They rushed out of the dorm in a hurry, grabbing the clovers as they left, without looking back. The closer they moved towards the sound, the faster the clovers reddened.
"Uh... guys, look at the clovers." Rikko panicked, stumbling as he ran through the hallway. "They are changing faster now!"
When they got out of the building, the sound grew louder and louder, until they could see an extremely tall creature emerge from the forest. The creature's eye bulged out of its giant pyramid shaped head, and its skin was as green as a lime. However, none of them had ever seen this type of creature before.
"What in the heck is that thing?" Lyra shrieked inquisitively.
"I don't know, but it doesn't look like it is happy." Orion said, his voice cracked with fear.
The giant armless creature, standing taller than the university clocktower, emitted a deep humming sound from the centre of its bulging eye perfectly centered on its head. Suddenly, the red vines from Orion's vision violently burst from its lime green skin and began wrapping around the creature's legs. It then lifted one of its thick green legs into the air, read to step towards the centre of Rhystheld's magic and bodiny university.
Finally, after the creature took a few steps towards Orion, Lyra, and Rikko, the clovers had cemetery reddened, and began to faintly glow. The ground continued to shake and shudder, whilst the creature strode further into the city, taking a glance at the trio of young spellcaters; it's eye widened when it noticed the ryphanite red clovers in Lyra's hands.
Suddenly, the creature stopped in its tracks when it reached the inner towers of Rhystheld. Then, the red vines retracted back into its body and it looked clueless of its location in the city.
"It stopped," Orion whispered. "Why did it stop? It was coming right for us."
"The vines...the vines, their controlling it" Lyra said, looking toward the motionless creature. "It only moves when the vines are wrapped around its legs. The creature is being forced to act."
