Chapter 5

It's freaking Saturday! But here I am standing in his company!

"Can you please tell me again why am I here again?" I said to Ms. George who's standing beside me.

Heard her chuckle and shake her head. "Ms. I don't know either but I know for a fact that Mr. Akiro likes you. OMG! He's definitely into you!" she exaggeratedly said.

Ms. George has been my assistant for a week now because Ms. Leos isn't feeling well. Strange, because after the canteen accident she didn't talk to me. While, Ms. George on the other hand is feeling free to talk nonsense to me,like I'm just a big sister to her. She's a jolly kid.

"You're talking nonsense again! Geez, I just can't believe that I'm going to his company without a clear explanation! I mean he's secretary whatsoever just called me earlier without early notice. And what the hell am I going to do in his company? throwing tantrums to his employee? This is not a school! I'm not supposed to be here!" I said

Ms. George laughed, that made me look at her and she stopped herself from laughing but she was still giggling. We're here outside of the company of Akiro Devain. His company is huge! I heard his company has the tallest building in the country. But the biggest real estate in the whole wide world!

"Ma'am for the millionth time, you're here because Mr. Devain is the owner of the school." she explained after laughing.

Should I care for that? Come on! He can't just have an appointment with me in Saturday's, it's my relaxation time! Time out for being stressed and he just cut off my day?! Without even a clear explanation! That's unacceptable.

His secretary called earlier, and told me to come to his company for a meeting. I asked the secretary what kind of meeting but he just said it's for all the people that he handled. But I'm not his! He just told me one week ago when we had a talk in school.

"So?" I raise an eyebrow and look at the top of the building." Should I praise him or what?" I said and smirked

"Ma'am, did you hit your head or something? You already forgot! And you just said the secretary just called you earlier."

I rolled my eyes and looked at her. "Is that the tone of my student while talking to their principal? Well if it does she'll be in big big trouble. " I playfully smile to her

She sighed. "I don't get you, ma'am. Sometimes you're friendly then go back to being strict again." she said and looked away. "Anyways, you're here again ma'am because Mr. Devain set a meeting to those people handling his toys-err his properties." she said

I playfully smiled. "Who? Your Devain or my Devain?" I innocently said.

Oh, I teased her sometimes but of course in lunch and off time only. It's been a week already after a one on one talk with Akiro Devain. And one week that Ms. Leos is gone and one week teasing Ms. George and it was surprising that Jaydee Alec hasn't gotten into my office! Akiro Elle, kept his promise.

She blushed and looked away. But her eyes widened like she remembered something amusingly. She looked at me and smirked.

"Did you just say miss, your Devain?" she said

I nodded.

"Yes, I'm pertaining to Jaydee Alec, your Devain." I casually said.

She shakes her head. "Ma'am you said. Who? Your Devain or MY Devain?" and mimicking me.

Did I say my Devain? I can't remember.

I shake my head. "I don't remember it. Anyways, let's go inside the company." I said and walked towards the company.

The inside of the company is very outstanding art. It's like I'm in one of those companies in the movies because it's pretty in here. I'm one of those people who appreciate the beauty of black and white team. The lobby area has see through windows in front but the corners are tinted.

The company is standing in the middle of the city. That made people attracted to come here. Because it's the tallest building here in the country. And I heard this company is the central among other branches of Devain's empire. Real- estate empire. Cool.

While walking in the lobby, I saw people wearing business suits. They all wear one, even girls. I go to the information desk and smile at the woman who's smiling at me. "Hi, my name is Bettina Catalina Aragon Zuarez, I'm here to see Mr. Akiro Elle Devain. May I know where his floor is?" I asked.

The front desk smiled and looked at her desktop, tapping. Well women here are beautiful and how they walk and dress are classy.

I heard Ms. George gigled. "I don't know why am I laughing but ma'am, you sound like a woman that Mr. Devain ditched your supposed date." Now that made the front desk chuckle too.

I barely say anything! How can she say that?!

I looked at Ms. George. "Would you knock it off already? Gosh you're annoying me." I said and rolled my eyes and looked again at the front desk.

The lady smiled. "20th floor ma'am, Mr. Elle Devain surely is expecting you." she said with teasing in her voice.

That made Ms. George c***k into laughter and that made the people in here looking in our direction. I looked at her irritated. "Stop laughing, student. Gosh I can't believe that I called you just to be here with me." I said while walking towards the elevator.

Why did I call her in the first place? Stupid me.

She followed me and looked at me while shaking her head. Then suddenly the elevator opened. There are 7 employees that come in the elevator while me and Ms. George are at the back. I can't even look at Ms. George right now.

"What floor ma'am?" the elevator lady asked while looking at us.

I was supposed to open my mouth but Ms. George "The floor where my principal lover is waiting." she said

I pinched the side of her waist and looked at her with big eyes. She just smirked at me. I sighed and looked at the lady. I smile, "I'm sorry my student is having an episode of her arrogance and doesn't know what she is saying." and gave a meaningful looked at Ms. George and looked again at the lady. "20th floor please." I said

The lady nodded and confusedly pressed the button. Anyways, employees here don't seem to care. Because they are busy looking at their watch like they're late or something.

A while now, the elevator opened in the 20th floor we go out to the elevator and saw a hallway that only leads to one path. The hallway was nice, black and white but it's suffocating there's no window here. As we walk by, there's a huge door. I looked at Ms. George first before opening the door. She just shrugged. I sighed and open the door.

Wow!

I saw that the left corner is fully windowed! You can see the whole damn city! It's so beautiful! Damn, when I was just a kid, I dreamed of being like this, to have a better place to see the whole city! This feels so good!

"Ma'am closed your mouth, geez there are businessmen here. It's so embarrassing." she whispered in my ears.

I looked at the mens who are now looking at me. Some of them are sitting while some of them are standing and speaking to other people. I composed myself as I cleared my throat. I smile at them "Good day, gentlemen." I said and they just nodded.

I walk towards the room to find my seat. And surprisingly there's a template that says 'reserved seat to Ms. Zuarez' so I went there and sat down.

Ms. George whispered to me and said. "I don't think ma'am that it's just purely coincidental. I mean your seat is beside him. And of course my proof is you're the only lady at the board table who's sitting beside him." she said that made me look at her and winked at me.

I'm not the only lady! Beside she's here there are woman too! I think they're the secretary of those businessmen that are now looking at me and whispering to another.

"Ms. George, once I get in touch with your Jaydee Alec, I will tease you like there's no tomorrow. Just wait, young lady." I whispered back.

She shakes her head but her face turns into a red tomato. "I will leave you here ma'am, I have an event to get too. bye" she said

I just nodded.

Well I'm all alone here. What did he want from me? He can just go to school and talk about the school and not be here with those businessmen. I'm not belong here, I'm just a school principal and not a businesswoman. This turf is not mine.

I sighed. I looked stupid here.

"Hi!" someone said, I looked at him and stood up. He smiled at me and offered his hand. " Your beautiful face is new here. I'm Levi Ezra Santiago, my lady" he said

This man standing in front of me is in his 20's like me but much older. He is in his business suit like the others, he has blonde hair, light brown skin, not so clean face because of hair and he has baby blue eyes. Wait baby blue eyes?

"You have baby blue eyes." I can't believe I just said that.

He giggled. Gosh he was sexy when he giggled! I think I just found my destiny.

"I'm sorry is my blue eyes distracting my lady?" he said

I smiled, "Is that real?" I asked him

He nodded and playfully smiled, I offered my hand "Well it's nice to meet you, I'm Bettina Catalina Aragon Zuarez you can call me Bettina." and smiled genuinely.

Well I think he is nice and my gut told me so. I think my lovelife will start soon.

He looked at my hand and he looked at my eyes again and smiled as he reached for my hand but I gasped when someone pulled me and hid me on his back.

"And who the f*ck gave you the authority to touch her f*cking hand?!"
