"Ignore us?!" The ghosts cried.
"That's rude!!" Hetty scoffed.
"Now, you go get some rest because your man is taking care of business." Jay said, flipping the drill over a few times.
"Do you know how that works?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, you ain't exactly that good with equipment, Dad." Just as Cassie said this, Jay pressed the button, which caused the drill to turn on and start spinning. He jumped back in shock and released the button, only proving Cassie's point. "Okay, no. No, I do not. But the Internet does."
"The Internet?" Pete asked.
"It's an invention for looking up stock prices and p**n." Trevor answered.
"You are a gross, gross man!" Cassie said, glaring at him a little. Trevor only shrugged.
"I try." He said, causing Cassie to pretend to barf.
"I'm gonna let the contractors handle the big things." Jay informed Sam, who was watching her daughter's interaction with the ghosts. "But you know what? Papa Bear -"
"Please dont call yourself that." Cassie interrupted.
"- is gonna save some money where I can because we're not all Mister Moneybags here, am I right?" Jay asked, referring to the painting. Hetty walked around to get a closer look at the painting and gasped in shock as she saw who it was, causing the ghosts, Sam, and Cassie to jump. "From where did you find this awful painting of my filandering husband?!"
"Oh yeah, Elias! I remember when he sat for that painting. and then when he slept with the artist." Sassapis recalled.
"OK, I guess I'll just go lie down." Sam said.
"You're gonna be better in no time." Jay reassured her before giving her a small kiss.
"The bones have spoken." Thor spoke. "And they foresee YOUR DOOM!"
"Right." Sam spoke, slowly backing away. "Thanks." Once she was fully gone, Jay powered up the drill again and turned to face Cassie. "You can go out if you want. It's pretty boring here. Just be back before dinner!" He then continued to walk into another room. Cassie nodded as her dad walked. Trevor, not noticing that Jay was gaining on him due to having his back turned, only heard the other ghosts yelling at him to move out the way. Cassie tried to grab him but was too late as her Dad walked straight through Trevor, then Alberta, as he entered the doorway. He and Alberta groaned in pain as some of the other ghosts and Cassie winced. "You guys okay?" The teen asked, only gaining a simple nod from the pair. "Yeah. Thanks, kid." Trevor said as he recovered ."You know what? I'm gonna go outside and meet someone who I hopefully can't walk through." Cassie declared as she made her way downstairs and out the door. Trevor shot her a quick thumbs-up yelling to her, "Don't get lost!" Alberta gave a little nod and a wink from behind him, making Cassie grin.
"Gawd! I won't!"

Whilst Sam was resting and Cassie was out, Jay had entered Hetty's room, with the red-haired ghost hot on his heels. "What are you doing in my room?" She asked, covering her parts with her hands.
"Oh yeah, this is gonna make a dope man-cave."
"What?" Hetty questioned, removing her hands and storming over to face Jay. "A cave of men? What does that even mean?!" Jay, unaware of Hetty's presence, grabbed the drill, positioned it against the wall, and commenced his work. However, he applied too much pressure to the drill, causing the drill to fall through the wall and create a hole, big enough for a fist to go through. He stopped the drill at once as Hetty gaped at the destruction. "Oh no!"
"What are you - What are you - WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Hetty exclaimed, moving closer to inspect the damage. Suddenly, Flower popped up. "Oh hey, Hetty! This is fun!"
"This is not fun! This horrible man has destroyed the sanctity of our rooms!"
"Aw, it's like we're roommates!"
"You got this." Jay encouraged himself. He somehow had not learnt from his previous mistake as he placed the drill a little above the fist shaped hole and once again applied too much pressure. The drill went through even further, causing Jay to fall slightly and the damaged part of the wall to tumble through to Flower's room. Jay stood up and quickly pulled the drill away. "Crap!" He exclaimed, quickly walking away from the scene.
"Are you mad?!" Hetty called after him. "You've made it even bigger! No, no, no, no! Don't go away!" Hetty pleaded whilst Flower cheered and applauded.
"Yayy!!! Hey! Who's your favourite boy ghost? I'd say Thor, but he really scares me. But I like that." She rambled.
"Y'know what? No. No, no, no, no, no, " Hetty repeated multiple times while leaving her room.

*Downstairs*
"This 'Jay' fellow has ruined our ability to communicate with Samantha by convincing her we are not real." Isacc addressed the group (minus Flower and Hetty). "Which is a serious setback! In the face of which a lesser leader might give up." Alberta, Trevor, and Sassapis -who were all on the couch - rolled their eyes as they knew he was going to say something about Hamilton AGAIN! "Like, for instance, oh, I don't know." He paused for dramatic effect before saying, "HAMILTON!"
"Dude is obsessed!" Alberta sighed.
"He was a terrible commander!" Isacc reasoned. "He was all about himself, whereas I - I was known for making men under me happy."He finished, causing Trevor to chuckle as he only saw the dirty side of that.
"How are we supposed to befriend Sam or Drive her from the land!' " He said as he mocked Thorfinn's gruff voice and accent. "Yeah, yeah, if she's just ignoring us?"
"Enemy's not supposed to ignore. It hurts feelings." Thor said, giving Trevor an idea.
" We don't let her ignore us." He said, pointing at Thor. "We do the same thing I did in '98 when Lizzie Grubman told me the list was closed for Di*dy's white party. We keep bugging her!"
"What kind of party?" Alberta asked, quite offended at the name.
"What is Did*y?" Thor asked.
"It's a jaunty little song." Isacc answered.
"The references are not important!" Trevor yelled. "The point is, we don't give up. We keep bugging her! Now is when we double down!"
Isacc snapped his fingers. "So simple, yet so brilliant."
"Thank you." Trevor replied, bowing slightly so that his shirt still covered him.
"We don't allow her to ignore us. Yes, we will pester her in the kitchen!"
"Yeah!" The others rallied.
"We will annoy her in the living room!" Isacc continued.
The others started laughing as Trevor said, "My idea.Yeah," loving the fact that they were heeding his advice.
"We will make her life a living hell, so she has no choice but to finally acknowledge us!"
"YES!!"
"Yes!" Isacc yelled, copying Thor.
"AND THEN WE DRIVE THEM FROM THIS LAND!"
"Yes!!" Isacc cheered for Thor.
"Or, have a nice friendly chat!" Pete yelled, attempting to match the same level as Thor.
"Yes!" Alberta and Sassapis yelled.
"That one! That one!" Trevor agreed.
"They will rue the day!" Isacc yelled.
"CHOP THEIR LEGS OFF!!! HANG THEM FROM TREES!!" Thor shouted, causing all the other ghosts to quickly disagree.
"Roll it back! It's too much!" Alberta shrieked .
"You're making it weird!" Trevor exclaimed. At that exact moment, Cassie walked in and not alone.
As the ghosts heard the sound of the door open and close, followed by giggling, they decided to investigate. When they got to the hallway, they saw Cassie with a boy! The boy looked almost the same age as Cassie and was incredibly tall, making Cassie look like a toddler in comparison. He had dark brown hair and Hazel eyes with lightly tanned skin (from spending long periods of time outside). "Are you sure your parents won't mind?" He asked as he followed Cassie's actions and took his jacket off like her.
"You'll be fine! Stop whining!" Cassie smiled.
"Who's this tall hunk?" Alberta asked.
"I'm Damien." He responded. The six ghosts gasped. ANOTHER?!
"How - How is this possible Cass?" Trevor asked with caution.
"What me meeting him or the ghost thing?"
"Yeah, let's do the meeting thing first." Trevor demanded as he glared at the new teen.
"Well, I went to the shops to get something to drink, and I saw Damien talking to a ghost. He saw me and tried to say that it was just Bluetooth, but when I told him I could see ghosts, we just kinda clicked. I've seen him around before, but I only found out today that he could see ghosts." Cassie explained.
"Yep. I'm kind of the odd one out in my family. No one knows why, but for some reason, every woman in the fam was born with the ability to see ghosts, but then I came along, and well, I could see them." Damien further explained.
"So your mother can see them too?" Isacc questioned.
"She used to, yeah. She passed after having me. It was just me and my Dad. We don't really get along, though. And I couldn't stay at another family member's even if I wanted to cos they all live far enough away that you need to take a plane." Cassie gave him a little reassuring hug before turning to the group.
"I invited him here so that we can prove to Mom that you exist and she's not losing her marbles."
"We have plan, Little One." Thor announced. "Annoy her until she acknowledges us!"
"Who came up with that idea?" Damien chuckled. The other five ghosts all turned to Trevor, who was feigning innocence once again. Cassie groaned and rolled her eyes. "Of course it was you… Why am I never surprised?"
Trevor grinned. "Hey, she trusts me. That counts for something, right?"
Cassie paused, then smirked. "Yeah… barely."
The ghosts exchanged approving nods, clearly delighted that Cassie was still on their side.
