Seraphina opened her eyes to find herself lying on a bed of soft, white feathers. She groaned as she tried to sit up, feeling a sharp pain in her wings. She looked around, and to her horror, she realized that she was no longer in Heaven. Instead, she was in a strange, unfamiliar place, surrounded by darkness.
She tried to call out, but her voice was weak, and she could barely speak. She looked down at her body, and she saw that her wings were torn and frayed, the feathers blackened and burnt.
"Gabriel," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "Gabriel, where are you?"
There was no answer. Seraphina tried to stand, but she stumbled and fell to the ground. She felt a searing pain in her side and looked down to see a wound there, seeping with blood.
Suddenly, she heard a voice behind her. "Seraphina," the voice said, "are you okay?"
Seraphina turned around and saw Gabriel standing there, his wings also burnt and tattered.
"G-Gabriel," she said, tears streaming down her face. "What happened? Where are we?"
Gabriel shook his head. "I don't know," he said. "I remember falling, and then… nothing. Until now."
Seraphina nodded. "Me too," she said. "But why would the Almighty cast us out like this? What did we do wrong?"
Gabriel sighed. "We disobeyed Him," he said. "We knew the consequences, but we couldn't help ourselves. Our love was too strong."
Seraphina nodded. "I know," she said, tears streaming down her face. "But what do we do now? Where do we go?"
Gabriel shrugged. "I don't know," he said. "But we have to keep moving. We can't stay here. We're vulnerable, and there are dangers in this world that we don't even know about."
Seraphina nodded, and together, they stood up, wincing as they felt the pain in their wings. They looked around, trying to get their bearings, but there was nothing but darkness.
"We need to find some light," Gabriel said. "We can't see anything in this darkness."
Seraphina nodded, and together, they began to walk. They stumbled and tripped over rocks and roots, and they felt the cold, damp earth beneath their feet.
As they walked, they began to hear strange noises, rustlings in the darkness, whispers on the wind. They felt eyes watching them, and they knew that they were not alone in this world.
They walked for what seemed like hours, stumbling and tripping, their wings aching with pain. But finally, they saw a light in the distance, a faint, flickering glow that beckoned to them.
As they approached the light, they saw that it was coming from a small cave, nestled in the side of a hill. They approached cautiously, unsure of what they would find inside.
But as they entered the cave, they saw that it was empty, save for a small fire burning in the center. They approached the fire, grateful for the warmth and light.
"We need to rest," Gabriel said. "We can't keep going like this."
Seraphina nodded, and they sat down by the fire, their wings still aching with pain. They looked at each other, and for a moment, they forgot their troubles, lost in the depth of their love.
But then, the reality of their situation hit them again, and they looked around, wondering what their future held in this strange new world.
