I had my first pre-fight interview with sports journalists and had to face Ivy face to face for our shot. She was just like I always saw on television when she faced off her opponents. She was aggressive, intimidating and a hard ass. She raised her opinion about having me compete against her and acknowledged that I come from a suspicious background of fighting. Everyone was curious to see the face of Athena. I almost felt like a celebrity with how everyone wanted to be part of the interview. UFC's popularity didn't even compare to NFL, football league or the Olympics. It was a sport seen as violent and not many fans were interested.
