Truths collide

2105 Words

I stood with my eyes wide open. Ignoring my reflection in the window glass. Ivy has been in surgery for over a few hours and she was finally brought out a few minutes ago. At first, the doctors showed concern and didn't show confidence in her making it through the surgery but she made it out. They were still a bit worried for her and told us not to get excited. Her injury was all my fault because of my father who had a gambling problem. He didn't pay his debt and used my name as insurance. It makes sense as to why he came around the other day to inform people that I am his daughter. I am making enough money now for him to gamble with. At this stage, I felt like I could murder him. He should pray that nothing happens to Ivy or he will find me at his door, ready to take him to hell myself.
