Annabel looked up at the giant temple towering above her, squinting her eyes against the sunlight reflecting on its marble columns and the golden dome that served as its roof. It was one of the most marvelous buildings Etheera remembered, and it was standing on the top of a hill so if she turned her back on the building, she could see the entire city glowing majestically on this perfectly sunny day. When she couldn’t find the goddess in her bedroom or the rest of her castle, Etheera’s voice led Anna to this place.
