Iris stepped out of the portal, slipping the Ring of Dispel on her finger and signaling for the others to spread out. They had barely taken a few steps when a low growl echoed through the trees and a giant form stepped forward. Raising her hand, she motioned with her fingers toward the ground. Everyone crouched, keeping their eyes on the wraith as it continued toward them. She kept her eyes on its head just long enough to make sure its eyes were red, then locked her attention on its massive body. It was alone, which was a relief, and it didn’t seem to see them because it kept walking toward where the portals had closed, moving past them without even pausing.
