Anna took a seat on one of the leather sofas in front of the President’s desk with Peter sliding into the spot next to her. Kevin remained on his feet, awkwardly switching from one foot to the other while his colleague kept squeezing the strap of his bag as if wondering if he should get his camera out now or stay quiet and unnoticed.
The Ascendant guard moved back, allowing the President to take his place. The human leader stared at them for a few long seconds before his eyes switched to Kevin and the other man.
