Rhysand. The silence of the last forty-eight hours has been a slow-acting poison in my brain. Rain hasn’t answered any of my texts, or calls or even emails. Her phone is on, it’s all delivering but she’s decided to ignore me. Work has been hell to focus on. Even now, the board meeting is just background noise and useless numbers. All I could see is Rain calling security on me while she dined with her mystery man. Unable to bear it anymore, I excuse myself from the meeting, get into my car and drive to her apartment, the engine roaring with the same fury vibrating in my chest.
