Ruveena’s Adventure

It was a magnificent party. Talka’s neighboring country of Coronia’s royal family was also present. Talka and Coronia have a friendly relationship and to make the relationship stronger, it was planned to tie the knot Talka’s heiress Prince Adam with Ruveena. They were both young when this arrangement was made.

Adam was discussing with Edmond when Ruveena entered the party. She was like a fairy. Her light blue dress matched her eye color and she was breathtaking. Prince Adam was mesmerized by her beauty and he totally lost and it was very obvious to Edmond. With a smile, she calls Ruveena.

Hey sis, Happy Birthday" and he hugged her. And whisper to her ear. You look great, sis. Same to you, my dear brother, and you are not bad as well, said Ruveena.

Ruv, can please keep Adam company. I have to have a word with my father. Saying that he just left.

What. Is he mad? What am I going to tell him? Ruveena thought and said" Nice to meet you Prince Adam, without even looking at him.

“Happy Birthday Princess Ruveena,” Said Adam.

Thank you. Said Ruveena

Adam cannot find any words to say to Ruveena. He tried to say something but his lips were glued and it was kind of awkward. Ruveena’s cheeks were blushing with embarrassment. Both of them were lost with words.

There you are Ruveena. Suddenly she heard her mother’s voice. And with a polite excuse, she hurriedly went to her mother’s side. Your father is going to make an announcement. With that, she heard her father’s deep and commanding voice.

“My dear friends, you all know today is the 21st birthday of my son and daughter. I have to tell them both that I am so happy to see you both raised to be responsible, loyal, and caring. And as a father, I am so happy to announce that I am going to hand over my position as the chief commander of the Coronia army to Edmond. I hope you will excel in the standards I have made and create your own.” With that, the whole hall exploded with cheers and applause.

King Liam gestured to the crowd to be silent “ you all know that Coronia and Talka have a strong bond and today I want to make that bond stronger by giving my lovely daughter's hand to Prince Adam of Talka.”

Even though the hall was exploding with cheers, Ruveena didn’t hear a thing and stood like a statue. Queen Helen took the hand of Ruveena and went forward and, next second, Prince Adam places a ring in her hand and, like a puppet, she also places the ring given by her mother on the ring finger of Prince Adam.

“Let the feast begin,” King Liam said, and attended to the royal family of Talka.

Ruveena felt like she was going to suffocate. She knew one day she was going to be the bride of Prince Adam. Prince Adam was not bad. He is strong, handsome and ladies fall at his feet, but he never gives them any chance. But she felt something which she didn’t even know. She felt she needed to breathe. While the royal family is attending to their guests, she sneaks out and takes her horse from the stable and puts on the sandals and starts riding. Part of her said" Stop, you are not supposed to leave the castle at night and mother and father will scream once they get to know. But the other part told her to breathe and relax. She needs time to think.

After riding for an hour or longer, she felt relieved by seeing that she was near the river. She gets down from the horse and lets her drink some water. Ruveena felt relieved seeing the breathtaking view of the full moon and river. This was the first time she had broken a rule and she felt alive. She spreads her hands and closes her eyes and breathes.

Suddenly, the sound of a footstep came. She shivered but tried to get the dragger in the horse sandals. But suddenly, a strong hand caught her and she tried to push, but the force was too strong. Taking all her strength, she tries to hit the man with her leg and arm even though it was captured. This caused both Ruveena and the intruder to both fall on the ground. With the moonlight, all she could see was the dark black eyes. When both of their eyes connected, her heart skipped a beat. Even in the night, his eyes sparkle. Taking advantage of that moment, he put a small cloth next to her nose. Ruveena’s vision started to blur and even though she wanted to struggle she couldn’t and then everything started to turn black.
