Chapter 1: Realization
Why did the novel suddenly come to mind? Come to think of it, my name is this realm or rather, universe; is awfully similar to the name of the princess that killed herself after being framed in the novel. What was her name again? Oh yeah. That’s right. Evelia De Astris. The small infant thought. It was about time Karya, or rather, Evelia now, finally realized where she was transported to. Well, almost realize. Am I…Evelia? I mean, come to think of it, I am starting to share very similar features to her. Or atleast, what it seems to be. I apparently look like my late mother. Strawberry blonde hair, pale purple eyes. Basically a ‘carbon copy’ of her and
unfortunately, my dad as well. Both my parents had blonde hair. My father had blue eyes though. The small infant thought once more. Everything was finally coming together for her. She has now come to her senses that she has now become the ill-fated princess, Evelia. But what could she do at her current age? She was barely even at the age of 1. All she could do was cry and crawl a little, she couldn’t do much. She just laid down on the ground, staring at the ceiling. “You dropped it again? Well, I’m not getting it for you now. Get it yourself.” The maid on the rocking chair said coldly. Jeez, I didn’t want your help anyways. The small infant struggled as she tried to grab the toy but was successful in the end. She tried to crawl back but dropped the toy again in the process. “Jeez, why can’t you have a better grip on the rattle? fine, I’ll pick it up for you again.” The maid said once more. I’m a baby! What do you expect? The maid stood up from her chair and walked towards the young princess, bending down to pick up both the young princess and the rattle and laid them down in the crib. “I’ll ask the head maid for another toy, don’t make any noise while I’m gone.”
The maid said before walking out the door. I don’t want another toy. I want Cressida. The nanny that was basically my second mother. So don’t bother coming back in with another cause I don’t want it! A few moments later, the maid came back with a toy cube-looking thing. Despite it being a simple toy, it was quite lavish looking. It was Gold with some precious Gems on each side. It was still quite a boring toy though for a young princess. “This was one of the only available toys within the monthly toy box, your highness. Don’t be picky.” The maid said coldly once more. Would it hurt you to be a little nicer to me? I may have been abandoned here by my douchebag of a father but I’m still a princess! Rather, an outcast princess. But still! The small infant was quite pissed at the rude behavior of the maid but as she stated, she was basically an outcast of a princess in her own palace. Suddenly, a woman who looks like she is in her late or mid-20s, Natural red hair, and lovely amber eyes walked in. “I’ll take it from here, Leah.” The Red-headed maid said. The other maid scoffed but agreed and walked away. This must be Cressida, she looks really pretty. As the small
infant stared at the beauty, Cressida revealed a beautiful-looking doll on her other hand. “I found this in the monthly brought toy box, Your highness.” She started sweetly. “I figured you like this more than the previous toys brought from the other maids. And look! It looks like you!” She continued as she held the beautiful-looking doll in front of the young princess’ face. Cressida was right, it did look like Evelia. It had beautiful cerulean eyes like her father, and strawberry blonde hair and fair skin like her mother. It also had a heavenly white dress with a beautiful gold trim. It looked like an angel. The infant princess held out her arms, gesturing for Cressida to hand her the doll. She didn’t want to look too demanding so she put on a sweet smile along with it. The nanny handed her the doll with a happy look on her face as she watched the princess enjoy it. “I’m delighted you are satisfied with the doll, your highness!”
She said. A few hours went by and the princess started to feel sleepy. “Seems its time to put you to bed, My darling star.” Cressida said as she brought the sleepy infant to her crib. As she sang a lullaby, the young Evelia fell asleep almost instantly to the serene sound. All of those in the palace slept in peace that very night
