CHAPTER TWO Eureka sat in the lobby of Kaiser Hospital hunched over in a chair, fidgeting with her fingers. From the expression on her face you could tell she was in deep thought. When she looked up, she found a little boy turned around in his chair facing her. His face was solemn and his innocent eyes studied her curiously. She reasoned he was wondering what was on her mind. So, Eureka mustered up a halfhearted smile which caused one to slowly form on the boy’s face.
