Kindness and family

Why does my life have to be ruined by them? I was happy, but now I don’t know what I am. All of this is too much for me, but the support I have is odd. Why David wants to help is beyond me, but it’s my fault that Troy got hurt by my mom.

David: Hey, what’s going through that mind of yours? Hey, if it’s about what happened, you don’t need to worry about that.

I turned my head to see why he was trying to make me feel better, but it wasn’t working at all because I knew that it would come back to me later, so there’s no point in trying to make me feel better.

Sandra: You don’t get it. Do you think my mom would have Dan’s dad put the blame on me and I would be the one in trouble for it? They would not, so stop talking about it and just leave me alone.

I looked away but didn’t hear him leave the room. It was just pure silence for a while till someone knocked on the door, but I didn’t move or say anything.

Troy:”Mrs. Sandra, can I talk to you please because I’m hungry, and we never got to eat the food you ordered, so I was wondering if you would eat with me as long as it’s okay.

I turned my head to see Troy just sitting at my feet looking at me so innocently and sadly, which made me realize that I had that look on my face when I was younger, because nobody knew what happened, and I had no one to talk to.

Sandra: Sure Troy, come sit closer, you can talk to me, and we can have some food, okay, but you have to eat it all alright, so what kind of food do you want?

Troy’s little face just lit up and smiled, which made me happy to see he was a very bright boy, but I looked over and noticed that David had left the room.

Troy came into the room and the look on his face I had never seen before, but he climbed up onto the bed and started talking to Sandra and I realized they both had the same look on their faces, so I got up and left them alone and went out to the waiting area.

Mandy: David, have you seen Troy anywhere? Because that boy ran off again when I found him. He was in big trouble.

David: Yes, I have seen him, but don’t be too hard on him. He has just had a traumatic experience happen to him, but he is back with Sandra and going to have food and talk, which he needs from someone who has had that happen to them, so leave him alone for now.

Anne: Listening to David Mandy, he has been very quiet since it happened, which is unusual for him, so let him be, it is best for now he will be fine.

Mandy: OK, but I’m just worried about him. I don’t want him to be alone with all that has happened, but maybe he will understand what happened by talking to Sandra.

Sandra: Troy, what did you want to talk about because I’m here to listen if you want to tell me, but for now, let’s order pizza. How does that sound?

Troy: I like pizza, but why did that lady hit me? I just said that you were hurt. I didn’t think she would hurt me.

I took Troy and hugged him because I hate seeing a child cry, and he had so much life in him that I was not going to let anyone take it away, so I ordered the pizza and looked back at him.

Sandra: Troy, that lady is my mother and I have had to deal with her, but I never thought that she would hit another person’s child, but I was wrong about saying that she had hit me with anything she could find after I took her boyfriend to court, because of stuff you are too young to understand, but you didn’t deserve to get hit, and I’m sorry for that it’s my fault you got hit.

Troy: It’s not your fault that I got hit by her. She was rude, and I was the one standing up to her and I guess you could say that I shouldn’t have said anything.

Sandra: No Troy, it is always good to stand up to people who do wrong. It is never wrong to stand up to people, so don’t ever say you should stay quiet, because if you stay quiet nothing can be done to them.

Nurse: Here’s your food and, Mrs, I think that you are right about not being quiet, and little one should be proud that you stood up to somebody who was doing something wrong, so listen to what she is saying to you and Mrs. I think you should follow your own advice and try to get justice for whatever happened to you.

Troy: Thank you, but don’t bad people lose when they go up against good people, because my dad is one of the best lawyers ever.

Sandra: Troy let the nice lady go and get back to work, and we can eat and thank you for your kindness. It is very rare in the world these days.

Nurse: You’re welcome and just remember, little one, that life is the most beautiful thing as long as you believe that everyone is worthy of love and respect and family is the one thing that matters and, as long as you believe you will be fine here, take my ladybug button, and it has always brought me luck, and it brought me my husband so take it.

Troy: Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind and I will always remember the kindness you have shown us. Even when life gets tough, I’ll never forget how kind you were to me and Sandra.

Nurse: You’re welcome now. I will tell my kids about the special little boy I met today and you too, Mrs.

When she was done talking, she walked away. Troy looked so happy to hear those words and took a piece of pizza and ate it and David walked in the room and I guess he noticed how happy we looked.

David: Why are you two smiling like you just had the best conversation of your lives and laughing? It’s like I came back to a room full of energy.

All I could do was shake my head at him and laugh at his confused face, but I knew he would bug me until I got annoyed with him, but before I could even say a word, Troy spoke.

Troy: It’s our secret, so don’t ask questions that you won’t understand. Okay, I’m done, so I’m going to leave. Bye Sandra, and thanks for the talk.

Sandra: bye Troy and you’re welcome now. Go and show your mom what you got, and you can share it with Drew.

Troy:”ok bye.”
