Sandra was in the bathroom calming down, but she was scared that her dogs would be alone on this cold and stormy night and Sandra would possibly give away why she didn’t go home if David made her mad again, and Sandra just couldn’t talk about it ever.
David: Hey Sandra, are you okay there and sorry if I went too far with what I said in the lobby? I really am sorry.
When David knocked on the door and asked if Sandra was okay, Sandra was a little shocked that David would even ask that question and apologized for all of what he said out there.
Sandra: I said to leave myself alone and not to follow me. What do you not get about not following me?
Sandra waited for an answer, but when she didn't get one, Sandra guessed that David had gone away. Sandra looked back in the mirror and saw that she had been crying and why. Sandra didn’t know what she needed, but Sandra just needed to clean up and get out of there.
When Sandra said she was fine, David felt bad that he had done all this, so David just walked away to give Sandra some space, but it felt like he should wait for her to come out and check on her, because when David got to the door of the bathroom, he heard Sandra crying.
Sandra: I get that we are snowed in, but can you not be a jerk about it? I already hate the holidays, so just let me be.
David just listened to what Sandra said and kept on walking to the staircase that led up to the roof to think for a while and let her be.
Sandra followed David up the stairs to see where he was going, and David headed to the roof. Sandra didn't know why David was going to the roof, so she followed David to find out why.
Sandra: Why are you up on the roof? " Why don’t you tell me that you plan to kill yourself because I’m not strong enough to keep you from falling down?
When Sandra was done talking, David turned around and looked like she had scared him, but Sandra didn’t care he was going to get sick if he didn’t put a coat on.
Sandra: Don’t worry, I’m just bringing you a coat so you don’t get a cold, then I will leave you to think OK, so here it is, and I’m going to go back inside, bye.
When she said that she had a coat for him, David was shocked that he had forgotten it, but it wouldn’t be the first time David had done that, so it didn’t matter.
David:" Wait a minute? Why did you bring me a coat, and why are you up here if you said you wanted to be alone?
David knew that she didn’t want him to get sick, but why did she follow him? David doesn’t know why, but something tells him that they will be spending a lot of time together.
David: Come and sit. There is plenty of room for two people and if you are wondering why I came up here, I will tell you if you just sit.
Sandra went over to the side of the roof and sat down next to David and looked at him, and he looked at Sandra but looked away and just watched the snow fall until she asked David the one question he didn't want to answer, but he knew he had to answer it, but before he did David took the coat and put it on because it was so f*****g cold out here.
Sandra: So why did you come up here in the cold without a coat on? Because you would have to be crazy to go outside in the middle of winter without a coat on.
