WREN’S POV I woke up to an ache behind my eyes, a dull and throbbing weight pressing down on my skull that made it feel twice as heavy. My face felt stiff, my skin tight and when I rubbed a hand over my cheek, I realized it was swollen. Puffy. I blinked against the morning light with confusion curling through me. Had I been… crying? Why was I even crying in the first place? I’m not usually a cryer like this. What on earth is happening to me? I didn’t remember doing it.
