Jin pushed the door of the Synod Assembly hall open while Nora and Keelan marched in behind her. Jin strode like a military woman- then again, she was- and took a seat behind her mother. The hall was much wider than the Netherhall. High up in the middle of the hall, was a shining moving artwork, grafted in the ceiling. How was that even possible?! It was an illustration of how the Angels sacrificed themselves to save Allterra.  The Synods’ seats were arranged into an arc of grey marbled seats. Nine seats flanked the highest seat in the room, the deacon’s seat. Angel’s wing painted white was carved into the wall behind the seat. Behind the nine seats were two rows of smaller seats, arrangement for the heirs of the founding families. A small seat like the ones behind the counsellors’ seats
