"Alright let's return to the pack People" Champ said as his demeanor suddenly changed.
He looked at the captured rogues and shot a meaningful glance at Cole before Walking away into the woods.
"You're not coming?" Champ looked back at me for a moment and asked but his feet never stopped moving.
In a daze a quickly rushed to catch up with him and Mariah but I didn't understand why Cole remained on the spot and wasn't returning with us.
As though he could read my mind, Champ said, "Don't worry about the Lass, he's got work to do"
"Whatever" I said uncaringly.
'Fuck... Why do I always speak so freely with him. He subconsciously feels like a friend I've been bantering with for years '
' Hahaha Is this Love at first sight' I heard Seles'Annoying voice trying to get on my nerves again.
However the moment I heard the word "Love" I couldn't help but remember Frank and my heart hurt all over again.
My train of thought was interrupted by Champ's voice
"Well, So let's here it. Tell this Lord your Story"
It was at that moment that I realized I had gotten too comfortable with strangers. Immediately I halted my steps and bowed towards Champ.
"I apologize for my discourtesy, Thanks for saving me." I gazed straight into his eyes in an attempt to show my sincerity but suddenly Seles interrupted.
"My blood..... It's boiling again. It feels strange"
"What's it like? Do you feel uncomfortable?"
"No, I don't.... But it feels restless. I feel like I'm a lot stronger. At the same time I feel like getting out"
Normal a wolf doesn't have any urges to manifest except during a full moon. They are stronger and restless,the recover at inhumane pace during the full moon but all these are things Seles is feeling when the sky is clear as day and the full moon isn't anytime soon.
I couldn't help but immediately avert my eyes away from Champ due to this. His response however didn't help either.
"Well, if you feel like you want to apologize to this Lord, why not become my maid... Hahahahaha...."
The moment he opened his mouth, I suddenly felt like giving him a hit to the face. The more I interacted with him, the more unbridled his mouth became.
"So out with it, who are you?"
It was time to answer the big question, I knew I couldn't give them the details of my private life with Frank but I also knew they deserved an explanation if I wanted to go back with them. After all. The encounter I just had with the rogues made me realize the woods is definitely not a place to stay.
" Let me properly introduce myself. I'm Althea. From the Moonshadow Pack. Due to some…some"
I suddenly paused and didn't know how to continue. My eyes were still clear but my voice started getting shaky. I didn't know how to continue or let's say I didn't want to continue.
"Yaiksss That's enough interrogation Champ…. Give the pretty girl a chance" I felt a hand wrap around me from behind and a softness press against my back. I immediately knew it was Mariah.
"Hmph…. "
"My offer is still up. Sharp mouth"
Champ said as he turned around walking deeper into the woods. I on the other hand was first shocked then annoyed.
"Who tf are you calling 'sharp mouth'?"
But I didn't get a response before he disappeared into the woods, Mariah jumped in front of me and giggled.
"Vance gave you a nickname….hahahaha…. I'm suddenly interested in what the guy is up to"
"That was very rude of him regardless" I said but Seles'voice immediately followed
"Maybe he likes you"
Immediately I spit in contempt….. 'how weak of a man to fall in love at first sight ' I responded in disgust.
'but maybe he just thinks you're fun to mess around with'
Seles' second remark completely angered me however. Would that not mean he thinks of me as a joke?
'that's enough you too… shut up'
I told her off but I could hear her giggle within me.
"Let's go" Mariah said as she suddenly picked up the pace. Dashing quickly into the woods and weaving through the trees with dexterity.
I wouldn't be outdone as I also picked up the pace. It resulted in a little competition but I remained a step behind her because I didn't know the directions, I had to follow her lead. I felt her increase her speed multiple times but i always managed to keep up.
Soon we saw a brightness in the distance, we were almost out of the woods.
"Unlike my esteemed self, You guys are slow" Champ's voice welcomed us as he smirked at me.
Immediately he turned around and walked towards what seemed like a huge gate.
I was flabbergasted by the sight. All I could see was silver frames making up the entire pack wall. Immediately I flashed back at the sight and remembered
"SilverCrest….. It's that pack"
About a year ago, it was in this same pack that my parents met their end. It was also at the same time that they lost their Alpha to the same attack. I didn't realize when when Champ introduced himself as someone from the SilverCrest but now it all made sense.
"Let's go"
I heard Mariah say as she pulled me into the pack, catching up with Champ who had gone ahead.
But I had barely walked into the pack when I heard a familiar Voice reach out to me. "Althea?"
I immediately looked to the side and was met with the figure of my Aunt. My legs moved instinctively and I leapt into her embrace, "Aunt Tyla" I said as memories of my past washed over me.
I could remember seeing her a year ago with my parents and how she stayed with me after the death of my parents. Tears streamed down my eyes as I lost myself in her embrace, tightening my grip as though I was scared I'd lose her too.
"Well… I'll leave you two to it" Mariah's Awkward voice sounded out as she scurried away. And as for Champ? Dude was long gone.
"It's alright Little Thea, It's alright" I felt my Aunt's gentle pat before she pulled away to take a good look at me.
"I…." I had too much to pour out but no know how, her hand cupped my face, and although it was just a movement from her, it calmed down my restless heart.
"Let's go Home little Thea"
She pulled me deeper into the pack, headed for her apartment.

Meanwhile within the central part of the pack, Cole finally arrived and met Champ.
"You're Back?" Champ, Now vastly different from his unserious demeanor asked while looking through some paperwork.
"Yes, I was able to get some information out of them" Cole replied, taking a seat opposite Vance.
"Out with it"
"The Apoca Rogue Camp, the biggest Rogue Pack in the World has stretched its hand towards this province. They are recruiting rogues and the requirement is "a werewolf's head" to get admitted into the Camp."
"Oh I see…"
" It explains why the rogues have been restless recently. Did you find out why the Apoca Rogue Camp is suddenly interested in our province?"
"No, but the lady seemed to know something. She said something about expecting a bloodbath if I kill her"
"Hohoho? And what did you do?"
"Of course I killed her…Hahahahaha"
