We just sat there for a while in silence not knowing what to say one minute my brother is dead next minute, I find out he is alive and is a beta.

“So, you and alpha huh?” “I don’t know Grey he says we are mates but I don’t feel it and I am human” “rabbit you are defiantly not human in fact you are probably like me we are twins after all “ “what do you mean like you?” I questioned not understanding what he means “that’s for another time “he winked at me “look if Jacob says you’re his mate trust me you are his mate. Hes a good guy rabbit you can trust him” he looks at me with a sad smile “that’s the thing kai I want a mate but I can't trust anyone what has happened all these years... not just that I have no abilities as a wolf I have no wolf we are 18 we should have got our wolf over a week ago.” why does no one get it I would know if I was a wolf before you even turn 18 your whole lives you have other abilities like better sense of smell, better Eyesite, strength and of course everyone is able to feel a connection just can't interact with it. I have had none of those things I can't even see in the dark.

“You are wolf and everyday you're getting stronger I can still feel our wolf's connection we never lost it rabbit but for now you need to rest and I will explain more another time or let Alpha do it. Just give him a chance sis he would never hurt you” I just gave him a small smile he gave me a cuddle before I heard a knock on the door that made me jump “why the hell you knocking on your own door Jacob” kai called before I saw a nervous handsome alpha peer around the door “didn’t want to interrupt anything that's all everything ok in here?” he looked straight at me and I blushed and stuck my head down hoping he didn’t see.

I felt an awkward tension building in the room and I was becoming more unconfutable by the second “you didn’t interrupt anything but I feel like I might be “kai said with a kackling laugh I missed so much I gave him a death stare if looks could kill.

“Shut up kai your just jealous you haven't found your mate” the Alpha spat at him and kai just laughed more “jealous of what this awkward standoff” this time I gave him an elbow to the ribs. “Ouch Alyssia” this time it was the Alpha time to kackle but his was something that made my heart stop not out of fear, out of pure joy I couldn’t help but look and smile.

What is happening to me I'm smiling, I'm in a room with my brother and my Alpha mate smiling? Wait did I die? I was pulled out of my day dream when I felt Flo jump on my lap everything went quite for a bit before kai broke the silence “Alyssia who is your rabbit friend?” I looked at him and saw his face a bit worried and looked towards the alpha who had the same expression. They are not going to take her away from me I scooped her up and held her close “you are not taking her away from me” I spoke mainly to kai but I think the Alpha knew I meant him as well “wow slow down fox no one's going to take her away...we just a bit confused how a rabbit has not run from here she seems very attached” I did find it strange at first when she first arrived to me 11 years ago. a house full of wolves hardly any food the noise even when there was an attack once she never left but I just thought maybe she couldn’t smell things or struggled to hear. I looked up to see both men staring at me.

“Shes called Flo she turned up in the basement 11 years ago on my 7th birthday she has kept me company the whole times she's never left she keeps me warm and I feel safe when she is near” they both just looked at me still with confusion “what basement” the alpha said in a gruff tone. Oh crap! I should not have said that!

All of a sudden, I felt the fear hit me, I felt paralysed. Surly they cannot expect me to tell them. I need to keep this secret if no one knows then no one can tell alpha Simon I'm here.I'm shaking and trembling Flos rubbing her head on my hand to try and calm me. I felt someone touch my shoulder and screamed “sorry Alyssia it's me kai your brother your safe "but I couldn’t process what he is saying everything just comes flooding back Alpha Simon ordering Jason to beat me as his training “harder boy!!! You call yourself an alpha son she's still whimpering” I feel kicking to my back punches to my ribs I can feel my bones cracking.

“shhh princess it's okay shhhh” I feel tingles surround my body and me being lifted on to a large body I slowly opened my eyes and caught a glimpse of Kais terrified face before my eyes slowly closed and I drifted off in to darkness.
