NARA
As he approached me, a jolt of electricity moved through my veins, my body tensed and for the first time my wolf stirred.
My heart drummed against my chest and I swallowed lumps of saliva as I realized that the more I stared at him, the more my wolf stirred. His aura was intimidating but his beauty was none that I have ever seen in my life.
His dark hair gave curls, falling delicately on a face that had sharp jawlines and well chiseled facial structure. His eyes were emerald, and his hands were adorned with tattoos that seemed to turn me on just by looking at them.
He was wearing a dark sleeve with slacks, the top button open and muscles peaking out of them. He was a beast but he was a beautiful beast.
"An Omega," his voice was sultry and deep. Echoing through the room, making everyone to turn to look at me but I could only feel their stares, I couldn't break the eye contact. The spell that Rhegan held over me.
"And a fearless one at that," he sneered and a man stood up attempting to slap me but his hands hung in the air. My eyes which had closed to bear the brunt of the incoming force was shocked to find Alpha Rhegan, his hands twisted around that of the man squeezing before finally letting him go.
"Tell me how you got to know our hideout, Nara," he asked me so coolly but I was more focused on how he knew my name.
My eyes blinked in shock.
"Did you know we were coming?" He asked again, this time there was force in his voice and something that resembled anger.
"I — I —" I stammered and I could feel tension rising on the surface but for some reason my wolf was stirring even more.
The more he approached me, the more intoxicating his scent was.
What was happening?
"Speak!" He yelled and I flinched.
"I was running away! I didnt know...I didn't realize..." I started to say suddenly recalling the last words I heard before I blanked out.
My eyes widened in shock and I moved back quickly.
"You attacked us!" I suddenly yelled in shock, but something else was happening inside of me as Alpha Rhegan moved closer to me.
I suddenly didn't want to move back, I wanted him closer.
"And you ruined everything. Moonwater scum," he spat in my ears, my heart beat fast, his power and dominance creating a tidal wave of desire inside of me.
Rhegan was pulling away from me when he growled in my ears, my legs clamped shut and my wolf roared to life the minute his hands reach out to snatch my face.
Just then my wolf jolted in surprise excitement as she screamed. "Mate!!"
The room went silent and my eyes widened, Alpha Rhegan twitched in disgust as a familiar reaction crossed his eyes.
This couldn't be happening.
"This changes nothing!" He spat and looked at me dead in the eyes snatching my chin in his hands as he spoke loud and clear "You're going to pay for what you've done, Nara," he growled in anger while my body burned with a sense of dread.
"Sire what should we do with the rest?" One of the men spoke and Alpha Rhegan had a smirk on his face.
"Release them but leave this one. I've found the best way she can pay," he said.
I begged with my eyes, surely Alpha Rhegan would never hurt his mate, right?
I watched as the men started to file the other women in a single line and tears started to brim in my eyes.
How did a day that had began as a fairytale dream turn into a grotesque nightmare?!
I watched the last girl stand up, she didn't even look back as she ran out of the room leaving me and Alpha Rhegan.
"I've got nothing to give you, I'm a lowly omega. The lowest one in the pack. I didn't know, please," I begged trying to find a way to get on his good side but his eyes only darkened.
"Please! I'm begging you," but instead of him to connect to me. To listen to my pleas he stepped away from me, his eyes darkening severely.
"You and your kind deserve no mercy, you have long since been a thorn in the flesh of lycans but today I will change the narrative. You found our hideout and caused the death of two of my brothers. I know your name and I know exactly what you are and by the time I am done with you? You will curse the day you became mates with me," he coldly stated.
"Take her away!" He commands and hands interlocked with my arms dragging me away but all I could think was how I had gone from a bride to be almost having her fantasy brought to life TO a murderer in a land where wolves were considered sworn enemies.
I was doomed.
