KIN stared at her with lingering eyes when he spotted her. There was more than one emotion shining in his eyes that she didn’t know how to decode. All she knew was that she wanted to melt under that gaze.
“I’m sorry, I took a long while to respawn,” she said nervously when she reached him.
“Do you really believe that's all you need to apologize for?” he replied between his clenched teeth. His eyes darkened.
She bit her tongue secretly. It didn’t hurt, though. It didn’t help lessen her guilt.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He looked so tired.
It made her want to hug him and apologize earnestly for everything, but they were in the middle of the fight. They didn’t have that luxury time for themselves.
