Awakening

Paris's POV

“Stop staring at me like that!” I say to Danny 

“I can’t help it Paris. You are so beautiful. You hid behind your hair and your body reflects everything. I hid all of your scars so that you can just be you and girl you are a goddess.” he smirks while telling me 

I have never seen this person in my reflection. I look at myself in the side mirror of Danny’s car and just smile. 

“Paris! Have you ever thought of just you know finding yourself?” Danny asks

“What do you mean by that?” I ask

“You know starting over and finding who you truly are? For some reason I feel like you don’t belong here. I just feel like there is more in this world for you then being here. I know I would never want to part from you since you are my best friend, but do you ever think that there is more in life than just this?” Danny asks

I sit back and think about what Danny just said. 

“I’ve always felt out of place here, but I always thought it was because of my family. Plus I am a Junior in High School with parents who don't want me. What better way to feel out of place anyways!” I say back to Danny. 

“We are here!” Danny says excitingly 

“Yay!” I say back to him sarcastically 

Here goes nothing. I step out of the car and we walk to pay our tickets. 

“Wait is that? No it’s not! Is it?” I already hear people talking about me behind my back

“I told you you would make a big impression.” Danny says to me smirking 

“Whatever Danny lets just go watch this game and get it over with.” I say to him

I already don’t feel comfortable being here but a promise is a promise. As we stand in line to buy a ticket I hear a familiar voice. It’s one of the voices from that night! She has a smirky attitude already about standing in line. 

“Does this school know who I am? I can’t believe I have to wait in line for a football game!” she says 

I turn my head and I instantly know that that’s the voice I heard that night. Does she have any relation to Jake? 

“That’s her isn’t it?” Danny asks 

“Yes but right now I just don’t want to cause any trouble. Let’s just watch the game Danny and stop staring at her.” I say back to him and hit him 

We find seats and so far so good. I watch Jack warm up and as soon as he moves his head towards me I turn and look into another direction. When I squint my eyes more I see Mars on the opposite end staring at someone. I check to see and I see a girl from the opposite high school around my age. Why is he staring at her?  Am I jealous? No I am not. I look back at Mars and see that he is gone. When I look back at the girl I see that she is staring back at me. 

For some reason I flinch and look straight back at Danny. 

“You okay babe?” he asks 

“Yeah I am fine I just saw something weird.” I say back to him 

As we watch the game I can see Jack staring at me the whole time while he plays. For some reason I just can’t look at him. I just have a bad feeling and when he turns I look back at him and I can feel someone shooting daggers at me.  I slowly turn and see that girl looking at me. The one from that night. Man this is going to cause a lot of trouble and I know that Jack is hiding something from me. 

I try to concentrate on the game more but I see Mars show up and then he is still staring at that girl. Who is she? I try looking harder at her from the opposite of the bleachers and next thing you know I feel a drink spill on me. 

“WTF!!!!!” Danny screams out 

I look up and see the girl from the other night above me looking shocked. 

“I am so sorry mam. I was trying to cross to my friends on the other side and my drink accidentally spilled.” she says to me apologetically 

“It’s okay.” I say back to her trying to wipe myself down and look for Mars but he left again. 

“It is not okay. We are the only ones sitting on this side and there are no other friends on the opposite side.” Danny says to her 

“Looks like they may have moved.” she says back to Danny.  

I look around and see almost everyone staring at me including the girl across from the bleachers. I see Jack looking as well and not looking too happy with the girl next to me. I feel like he does know her. I look back by the fence and see Mars looking at that girl again scratching his head. Then I look back at that girl and see that she is gone. 

I don’t even hear what the other girl is saying as I look back at Mars and see that he is gone too. Where did he go? 

“Hello did you hear me?” she says back to me 

I look at her and just look confused and say, “Sorry I didn’t and no worries. I don’t care. Plus it looks like everyone saw what you just did was on purpose so if I were you I would just walk away.” 

“What did you say?” she asks me 

“She said that everyone just saw what you did on purpose and that you should just walk away.” says a voice behind me 

I turn around and see the girl from across the bleachers staring at the girl next to me. This does not look good at all to me.
