Scarlett's giddiness at watching Damon's dominance over Alpha Jonah is bubbling through my entire body, wrapping me in bliss. I knew that Slade and Damon were strong. I had never seen it compared to other Alphas before, but then again, Diamond Claw is smaller than New Moon.
'The size of the pack doesn't determine the strength of an Alpha,' Scarlett whispers in awe, 'the man's character, morals, and wolf determine that.'
'His morals?' I ask, wondering what they have to do with anything. 'How do morals make a stronger Alpha?'
'If a man's morals are weak or questionable, it can cause distrust with his people,' she explains. Now that she's mentioned it, I noticed that neither of his men had made a move to defend their Alpha; even outnumbered, I would think they'd at least try.
