Aliane’s POV
We made quick work of picking up the basket with all of its contents and the gingham blanket.
“Did you drive here, Princess?” Asked my twin to our mate.
“No, this park is so close to my home, that I just decided to walk.” We know exactly where her house is located. There is a rotation of warriors watching over her house around the clock, no way can we leave our future Luna unprotected.
“Well, we can either drive you back or walk with you and then pick our car back here.” I told her.
“Given that both choices take you to my doorstep, it would be best to take the car. That way you don’t need to worry about picking it up later.” Sam said, with a teasing voice.
“You caught us, we want to go to your house.” I winked at Sam.
“I figured, but it’s alright, I won’t oppose to you getting to know where I live as long as you promise to take me to your home one day.” Came from her.
I wish she knew that we would love to take her home right now. Tell her what we are, who we truly are. Show her our pack, our lifestyle. But mostly, get to mark and mate her. My wolf was almost purring at the thought of marking and mating our beautiful mate.
“Princess, we would love to show you our home someday.” Said Alan while taking her hand in his. “Come, let us take you home.”
We got to the car quickly, it was my turn to drive, as Alan had been the one to drive us here. We usually take turns.
My twin surprised me when he sat in the back with Sam.
“Why are you sitting in the back?” I asked, looking at him in the rearview mirror.
“I want to be next to her. Why else?” Was his fast reply with a face-splitting grin.
“Oh, no, not going to happen. There’s only one of me and two of you. If every little thing one of you does with me, does the other have to do, then I had better start cloning myself. It’s early enough to realize this and overcome it.” Our lovely mate scolded us.
“You’re right, I’m sorry. He usually sits shotgun, but I would have done the same. Sorry, baby brother. You’re right Sam, no matter how much we might want to experience everything with you, there will be circumstances where one of us won’t be available, so we better get used to it.”
“Yeah, I forgive you as long as you take back the baby. I’m all grown up.” Said Alan with a childish pout and crossing his arms.
Sam and I started laughing at his antics and he joined us half a second later, showing that he only did it to break the mood. Couldn’t have asked for a better twin.
“Good joke, Alan. Now, take me home, Aliane, please.” Came from our mate with a smile still plastered on her face.
“Your wish is my command, mademoiselle.” I said while looking in her eyes through the mirror.
She “guided” me to her house, which was less than a mile away, just some blocks from the park.
“Here is my humble abode. You’re welcome to come in, if you wish.” The last part she said hurriedly and in a low voice, but we still heard her.
“It would be our pleasure, Sunshine.” I gently told her.
Our mate fumbled a bit with her keys, but nothing crazy. Then she stepped in, took her shoes off, and held the door open with her other hand outstretched as invitation.
“You don’t need to take off your shoes. I just love going barefooted.” She said as we started taking off our shoes at the entrance.
“Nonsense, we love being barefoot as well. Especially walking in the grass, it connects us with nature.” Said Alan, who had finished taking off his shoes already.
“Oh, okay, just letting you know it’s not a rule or anything, just a preference.” Sam added.
Her living room was all light and earthy tones. The brick-encased fireplace was the center of attention. A log holder and solid wood stump accent table emphasized the natural texture and colors. Throw pillows and blankets adorned the cream sofa and the wooden accent chairs. It all said warm and cozy with a relaxed tone.
“Wow, I love your décor. It’s warm and cozy and makes you want to just sit and read a book by the fire with some hot chocolate. Something to look forward to in the winter.” I let her know.
“Thank you! It really means a lot that you like it. Reading is a favorite hobby of mine, so I wanted to create a space that would cater to that.” Said our mate with a light blush in her cheeks.
“You just keep on surprising us, Princess. Any other eighteen-year-old would just have whatever furniture, old pizza boxes, fashion magazines, and a mess. Cleaner mess than if it were a boy, but still a mess. However, you have throw pillows, natural light, books, and it faintly smells of caramel apple. Living in our family home means that we only need to keep up with our bedroom, and we have a cleaner, so it’s not even much.” Laughed Alan.
“The caramel apple is from a candle I light up sometimes at night. But I can’t smell it anymore, I have no idea how you can still pick it up. I have a keen nose, but it might be because I’m used to that scent.”
We froze for a second, thinking about a comeback on that, but Sam didn’t linger on that and just added: “Where are my manners? Would you like something to drink? I have water, coffee, tea, and maybe a soda left in the fridge.”
“What do you mean by maybe a soda?” I asked, curious.
“Yeah, my best friend brings her own sodas and leaves them here for whenever she comes over. She knows I don’t drink them and would rather have her not drink them either, but she just doesn’t listen. Those things are just sugar and chemicals.” Our mate said with a small puff, sounding like that’s the mantra that she kept repeating to her friend.
“Oh, we agree on that! We drink lots of water, some coffee, and the occasional tea. Soda is just a once in a blue moon thing for a pizza night, but that’s not often.” Said my brother, and I saw her eyes light up at his words. She was proud, and it made me want to find everything that would make her look at us like that.
“I’ll have some water, please.” I told her.
Sam motioned for us to follow her to the kitchen while she took a glass pitcher from the fridge with cold water and went to retrieve a glass from her open cabinets, but being barefoot now, she had to tiptoe to reach up.
“Let me help you, Princess.” Said my twin while stepping behind her and grabbing the glass she was staring to touch. He practically trapped her between the countertop and himself. Smooth, very smooth. Our mate gasped but didn’t move, letting my brother cover her body from behind with his, in a state of relaxing and freezing over as she felt his warmth encasing her, like her body wasn’t sure of how to respond to that closeness.
Alan brought the glass down to the countertop, making sure he didn’t create an accident. Then, he leaned his head at the junction between her neck and shoulder, very slowly taking a loud deep breath through his nose and inhaling her scent.
“Mmmmm, you smell divine!” Moaned Alan at her neck.
“I...ah…well...thanks.” Came the stammered reply from Sam, along with a full body shiver and even goosebumps. I had to intervene or this could get dangerous.
“Alan, trust me when I say that I would love to let you keep going and teasing Sam, but she needs to process things and we can’t push her. Please, step back and let her breath.” I placed a gentle hand on my twin and managed to serve myself the glass of water while they both cooled down for a moment. Sam’s face and neck were all red, and she was staring to smell of arousal, even I would have to leave soon.
“Spoilsports!” Said Alan with a glare. “Sorry, Princess, you’re just irresistible.” He continued towards our mate in a soothing voice, knowing well that she craved it as much as we did.
“No need to be sorry, I didn’t stop you. If I ever feel uncomfortable, I’ll make sure to let you know. But you’re right Ali, I need to process everything, and we need to know each other a lot more before anything else can happen here. Sorry if that disappoints you.” Sam told us.
“You can never disappoint us. Just be you, and we certainly look forward to knowing everything about you and for you to truly know everything about us. We’re in it for the long-haul and not a gaming experience. We promise.” I was looking straight into her eyes, sending as much conviction through my voice as I could, she gave me a small nod and a shy smile that melted and plastered a thousand-watt smile on my face.
“Let’s go, sister, before you melt as well and then neither of us is able to step away from Sam.” Chuckled Alan.
We each gave her a peck on the lips, nothing too heated. At the front door, we got our shoes back on and promised to call her later. This was certainly the best first date ever.
