Aliane’s POV
After all our meetings, classes, and trainings, the day had finally come to an end. It was actually a short day for us, seeing that it was only around 7:00 pm. After a quick shower and changing to comfy clothes, we had dinner with our parents and decided to sit down for a bit before heading to bed.
“Thank you, Goddess, that today wasn’t an extra long day.” Said my brother, throwing himself onto the large sectional sofa that occupied most of the space in our designated TV room.
Almost twenty of us could puppy-pile on that sectional for movie nights, or we would connect to a gaming system and have a gaming event. But that had all been many years ago, before our training started. The lower ranked wolves still gamed and watched movies here, even our Betas joined them every once in a while. However, we had to be the best. That’s why our dad trained us so much.
You see, dad is Alpha born, but he was the third son, after his brother and sister, so he wouldn’t be Alpha of his parents’ pack. About eighteen years ago, when we were only two years old, this pack had suffered the loss of the Alpha family. That left the pack hurting, but given the strong relations between our original pack and this one, it was decided that my dad would become the Alpha of the Gold Moon Pack. They were humbled by the opportunity and dad dedicated himself to being the best Alpha he could be. Which brought him to prepare us to be even better than him.
“Hey sis, you alright?” Alan’s voice brought me back from my internal thoughts.
“I’m fine, just thinking. Hey, do you think we should call Sam?” I responded.
“Oh, yes! Please! I’ve been missing her all day.” His face lighted up with a smile that could almost outshine my own.
I had already taken my phone out and was about to touch the call button, and I did as soon as the last word came out of his mouth.
It rang for a while and I was about to disconnect, before I was sent to voicemail, but the call connected and we heard some shuffling and muted noises.
“Hello? Sam, are you there?” For all I knew, the phone could be inside a purse or a pocket.
“Mhm, yeah, I’m here. Hey, Aliane. Sorry, I was trying to reach the phone and not slip because I was running and all wet.” Came a breathy voice from Sam.
“Why are you running and wet, Princess?” Said Alan after sitting next to me and taking advantage of the phone being on speaker.
“Oh, hi, Alan. I had just finished taking a shower when the phone started to ring. He usually calls me later, but maybe something in his schedule changed and I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss his call and started running to reach the phone. I didn’t even notice the caller until you talked, Aliane.”
I almost growled at the fact that she was waiting for a call from a guy, but stopped myself.
“Who is this guy that always calls you, Sunshine? Who is our competition?” I asked with a serious tone.
“Hahahaha, you guys, you’re so funny. Thank you for making me laugh! Hahahahaha, I’ll have to tell him about this.” Sam said and made us frown. Was she not taking us seriously? Did she have a significant other?
“Princess, we’re not joking. We want to know everything about you, and hearing your laughter is precious. But just thinking about another man that receives your attention makes me want to find you, and kiss you until you forget his name.” Told her my twin.
“Oh, you’re serious, both of you?” Her voice had lowered so much.
“Yes, and so it’s clear, we want to have a face-to-face conversation with you. The sooner the better. We'd like to explain that our intentions are to get to know you, even better than you know yourself. We want to be there for you for everything that happens in your life, support you. We want to court you, until you’re ready for the next step, taking it as fast or as slow as you want. We want to discover all of you, physically and emotionally. We want you to open your heart to us, like you have opened ours.” Came the response from Alan.
“Yes, Sam, what Alan said. I know it’s probably a shock to you, it was to us too. We both want you, and we don’t mind sharing with each other, but we draw the line at someone else.” I added.
“I, I, I thought it was all in my head. The looks, the gentle touches, the electricity. For all I know, last night had just been in my head and you had both been very polite. It’s not possible for you two to like someone like me.” Sam mumbled.
“Sunshine, you’re gorgeous. Your golden and soft skin, your pale-blonde hair, your green eyes, your full lips, your delicate hands, there’s nothing not to like.” I told her, smiling at the phone like an i***t while thinking about her.
“And Ali forgot to mention your delicious curves, Princess.” Said my younger brother.
“That’s, that’s, I, oh wow. Hmm, I really never thought that someone could see me that way. But having you two describe me, it feels surreal. You’re both so beautiful, that you thinking of me that way seems like a dream. Plus, my curves have never been my forte. I always thought they just made me look bulky.” She finally said, and then released a deep sigh.
“We’ll tell you every chance we get, I promise. Never think of yourself that way again. We can show you how your curves are a great asset, if you’d let us.” Was my comeback.
“Yes, Princess, you just need to let us. Now, before we lose track again, can you tell us whose call you are waiting for?” I gave a thumbs up to my brother for remembering to ask again.
“Oh, right. Well, I can tell you that he calls me every day. He worries about me all the time. He’s one of the sweetest guys I’ve ever met. I have known him all my life, and he calls me Sammie, instead of Sam.” I could hear the smile in her voice, she was teasing us.
Then it clicked.
“It’s your brother, right?” I asked, praying that I was right.
“Yes! How did you know?” Sam asked with curiosity.
“It was love. You mentioned your brother last night, when talking about the dress with pockets. The words you used right now, and your voice, were just exuding a love bond, but never did you say he was handsome. Plus, if you’ve known him your whole life, it was most likely a familial bond.” I gave my twin a small shrug when he looked at me.
“Well, yes, my brother, Samuel or Sam, calls me every evening to check-up on me.” Said our mate.
“You should have said that sooner, Princess. Here I was thinking that we would need to duel someone.” Chuckled Alan.
“Don’t say that! You don’t need to duel anyone because of me.” Sam sounded like she was reprimanding him.
“Oh, but we both will if needed. We’re ready to defend your honor, slay your dragons, conquer all evil, and much more if it means you’re the price we get.” It was getting corny, I know, but our mate deserved all the romance and sweet talking she could get from us.
“Hahahaha, you guys are really too much for me. I still can’t believe how comfortable I am with these twins that I just met.” Our mate laughed over the call, making us smile at her melodic laugh.
“Twin power!” Both, Alan and I, said, and then all three of us laughed.
“Thank you for calling, I’ll make sure to return the gesture. Call me old-school, but I’ve always preferred calls to texts, they’re so impersonal. So, I really appreciate it.” Sam said.
“Sam, it was our pleasure talking with you. However, we can leave the daily call reservation for your brother. We'd rather see you in person, Princess.” Replied my brother, with a grin on his face.
“I agree, plus, I hope you don’t forget our intentions, we truly want to know you better, and more.” I added.
“You’re not even here and you’re making me blush. That’s not fair! But I’m willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. If your schedule permits it, we could go to the park by the lake tomorrow afternoon. Just to walk around and talk.” She said hurriedly and in a low voice.
“Yes!” We replied in unison. How tedious to be twins!
“We would love that! Just text us the address and time. We’ll be there.” Alan said after chuckling at our twin reply.
All three of us said goodbye and Sam disconnected the call. She probably wanted to be available for her brother’s call.
Alan and I just smiled, knowing that we had our first date with Sam tomorrow and would be close to her.
