The Last Glimpse

Realm of the Kings

Year 1820

"Your highness, the Pharagonians are taking over our kingdom!" said one of the soldiers of King Aleric inside the palace. He was so exhausted and fear could be seen from his face.

"Traitors!" King Aleric exclaimed, pertaining to the Pharagonians. "Prepare the soldiers! Don't let them get near the palace! Move now!" said king Aleric, king of the black mages.

"Yes your highness!" the soldier responded and acted as fast as he could. It has just been one week after they signed the treaty of peace between the kingdoms of Pharagon and Aleron when the Pharagonians betrayed them and stabbed them from their backs. They must be taught a lesson! They’re maybe called white mages but those people thought nothing but to exploit, harass, and steal other people’s wealth.

The king was really angry. There’s really no end to this. It’s either one kingdom dies or one dominates. In the meantime, there were many mobs outside. Innocent people were being killed by the white mages without mercy. Other soldiers were able to trespass inside the palace.

"Alright! Finish all of them! Take anything you can! Hahahahaha!" one of the white mages commanded his soldiers. They started entering the main premises of the palace and stole gold wares and other valuables. After they stole, they burned down each rooms. One of them reached the room of the queen and attacked her and her baby.

"Please, have mercy on us. You can get anything you want but don’t harm my daughter," Queen Sena pleaded as she hugged her innocent baby.

“Take this!” the white mage waved his sword towards the queen. The queen turns back to protect her baby. Blood splattered all over the floor and the queen stumbled to the ground.

“Nooo!” the queen cried because of pain while she looked at her baby crying helplessly on the floor. “My baby…someone help us!” she screamed.

The king entered the room and found his wife screaming. He immediately used his power and released magic from his sword towards the soldier.

“Aaaaaah!” the soldier was stunned to death. King Aleric ran towards Queen Sena and grabbed their baby.

“Sena,” he shedded tears as he looked at his dying wife.

 “Aleric, take our baby with you. Go and save yourselves,” she whispered as she gasped for breath.

“No, I won’t leave you,” said King Aleric.

“Please, you must save Parthenia,” she said, pertaining to her baby.

The king cried as he summoned his magical power from his sword.

“By the power of the black sword

I open the portal through the future realm

I seal this child’s body with the sword

and pour all my powers unto her soul

To protect and deliver her from harm

Time and season will overcome

And she and the sword will be as one

Queen Sena kissed her baby as the king chanted his magic words to his sword ‘Zeru’. King Aleric lost all of his powers as he sealed all of it to their baby. The baby’s body gradually disappeared as she became one with the sword. A portal opened and the king sent the sword through it. He safely delivered their baby away from this realm.

Suddenly, King Pheran of the Kingdom of Pharagon entered the room and found King Aleric and Queen Sena.

“I love you, Sena…” King Aleric whispered his last words to his wife as he hugged her. They knew that they were both going to die at that moment.

“I love you too, Aleric.”

King Pheran gathered all of his energy through his sword. He’s ready to attact the king and queen anytime at all cost.

“Prepare to die.” Said King Pheran as he chanted his skill that will immediately kill his target with one blow.

“AGAMMEMON”

King Pheran’s sword ‘Agammemon’ transformed into a longer 10-part segmented blade connected by a stretchable thread, making it act as a long sharp sword which strucked the king and queen’s bodies altogether. King Aleric hugged his wife trying to protect her for the last time, but it still killed them both.

In the middle of Slavernake Forest of the year 2000, a lightning struck a cave and a mysterious black sword appeared, buried deep in a huge rock. It was when a huntsman coincidentally heard a baby’s cry inside. He went inside the cave and found the baby, who is crying and lying beside that rock. It was Parthenia, the last sword alchemist of the Royal Blood of Aleron.
