Chapter Twelve

ZOEY'S POV

I saw many people pointing at me with ridiculous stares. What do I care about anyway? It's not as if the green pack's son is my mate or someone who'll develop an interest in me. I've found my mates but it is quite unfortunate they are both jerks who just want to use me.

Thinking of this always makes my heart hurt, so I'd rather not think about it at all or try to remember how beautiful Aiden's touch felt on my skin.

The green pack is really filled with greens, and it's also bright, which shows how the green name came out to be.

I settled myself on a distant chair after separating from my mistress and her family.

I know they will be glad of my actions, you should imagine how embarrassed they'd be for introducing me as one of them in this dirty state I was in.

Pushing ridiculous thoughts from my running mind is quite hard, so I chose to concentrate on the food I'm currently eating.

After eating my meal to my satisfaction, I decided to return the plate to the kitchen. I know someone will be grateful for that because if someone did that to me back when I'm in Alpha Blake's pack, I'd also appreciate it.

But the minute I stood up and took a few steps forward, the atmosphere in the hall changed into an excited one.

Suddenly, a very beautiful girl ran out excitedly with a smile on her face.

But she was so impatient that she collided with me which made me fall face flat, just like the plate in my hand. The plate immediately crashed.

Yet, the lady wasn't remorseful, she didn't utter any apologetic word, "Disgusting b***h. Who brought this thing to my party?" The lady harrumphed without sparing me a glance.

Immediately after the girl finished her words, two ladies kicked me aside and followed the first lady outside.

By the time I stood up to pack the broken plate up, the crowd had started to point at me. I guess our actions caught their attention.

"Oh my moon goddess, did she just pick those broken plates with bare hands?" I stood up to look at the person who just said so. She's a pretty girl wearing expensive clothes. Most of the people here are elites; I'm not in their league.

"Girl is so crazy. How the hell did she get in?" Someone whispered, but I couldn't consider that a whisper considering that the person spoke loudly for everyone to hear.

"I heard she got in through the..."

The reply made me stop in my tracks in fear. Even though I parted away from my mistress, so they won't relate us to each other, they're some people who have seen us come down from the same car.

My stomach churned in fear as Mistress brought out her iron belt. I have humiliated them, which I need to pay for.

I didn't expect that even when I tried to act low-key, trouble still came to me.

"You wretch." My mistress yelled at me and immediately brought the iron belt toward me. If this falls on me considering the sheer power behind it, I'll definitely break a bone.

I swept a glance at the crowd but no one was interested in helping me. Instead, I could see their excitement about watching how I'm going to end. The hope I held in my heart was extinguished.

Mistress would certainly deal with me in the 'best' way possible.

I closed my eyes and braced myself, waiting for the harsh belt to land on my skin but after a few seconds, the belt was yet to touch my skin, and the noise the crowd was making had extinguished.

I only have a thought in mind, the alpha's son is here, but that doesn't affect my mistress. I quickly opened my eyes wondering what the hell happened, but I was shocked by what I saw.

Alpha Aiden had the iron belt in my mistress. My mouth gaped wide in shock because I couldn't imagine how he was able to do it.

I swept a glance at him. Rain was feeling excited by his presence, but he spared us no glance, and that made my mood fall, which I found strange.

"If the only thing you know how to do as a Luna is to torture a member of your pack, the other packs don't need you in here." Alpha Aiden said in a strict cold voice. He was emanating a fierce pressure that I am sure everyone could feel. Surprisingly, the pressure was soft as if it was comforting me.

My mistress paled, and she began to stutter endlessly in fear. "I... I..." I never know that a day will come when my mistress will be panicking this way.

"Today is a joyous day but having the mind to treat a werewolf like you as a rag is simply treacherous. If your hands itch to torture the same creature as you then you can leave here right now." Alpha Aiden ordered coldly, which made everyone fall silent. They seem to be feeling remorseful for their actions.

"Alpha... Aiden!" The girl who pushed me earlier suddenly clutched Alpha Aiden's hand while trying to act coquettish. She was indeed more beautiful than I could describe and standing there with him made them look like a perfectly made couple.

The girl didn't complete her words when Alpha Aiden threw her hand away. "You want to be a role model, Luna, but you're encouraging bullying. I feel so disappointed in you." Alpha Aiden said and brushed her away.

The girl glared at me due to the scolding and immediately followed my second mate.

The atmosphere in the room was filled with tension and awkwardness.

My mistress currently had an unreadable expression on her face which I don't know what it will spell for me later in the evening.

"What did I miss?" A cheerful voice suddenly sounded from the entrance which caused a lot of excited noises from the girls.

The person at the expensive door was a young man in his early twenties. He had a headphone placed on his neck. And he had a wide smile on his face which would make one comfortable in his presence.

"Brother!" The girl who pushed me earlier immediately jumped on the young man.

'When did she turn back from following Alpha Aiden?' Rain asked, which made me shrug in reply but then, I suddenly remembered something which made my eyes widen in fear.

Wait! If that girl just called that young man her brother...

The young man was Ryan, the next Green Pack Alpha, which means that the lady who pushed me earlier was the baby sister, the apple of the eyes of the green pack, Roselyne.

Then nobody needs to tell me that I'm dead meat.
