Anya’s Point of View
“Let’s go.” Alithir said while standing in the door.
I give him a confused-face. What does he mean?
“Starting today, you are going to school with me. You are going to eat lunch with me, Otho, and Olivia. And you are going home with me after class. Do you understand?”
“What’s wrong with you, Alithir? Why sudden change of heart?”
“Just follow me. Let’s go.”
“Hmm. Fine. Let’s go.”
We went to school together. We just walk in silence until we reach the school and saw Otho and Olivia waiting in the gate. Look at them… They look so in love with out label. My tooth is aching for so much sweetness.
“Anya, good morning!” Olivia greeted me then clinging into my arm.
“Good morning. You two look so close huh.”
“You think so?” Olivia blushed.
“Good morning, Anya. Good morning, guys.” Samuel greeted while seating in a bench not far from us.
We looked at him. Seems like he is also waiting for us.
“Tsk.” Alithir glared at him but Samuel smiled at him.
“Good morning, Sam.” I greeted.
“Sam? Since when did you two get close?” Alithir asked.
Samuel walked towards us. “Why? Are you jealous because she still calls you by your name and not your nickname?”
“Shut up.”
“C’mon, Ali-boy. We will be brother-in-law in the future. We should build a good and healthy relationship while we are young.”
“Stop calling me brother-in-law! For Pete’s sake.”
“C’mon. Or do you want me to help you with Yllaine? I know a lot of dating place. I could ask them to give you some good discount.”
We start heading inside the school. Just look at this two, fighting early in the morning.
“Hu? What are you talking about?”
“Aren’t you dating Yllaine?” I asked.
“Yeah. Didn’t you two go on a date last weekend?” Olivia asked.
“She even told me to stay away from Anya. She must really think that you two are cousins.” Samuel said.
“I am not dating anyone. And who told you we’re not cousins?”
“Oh, Ali-boy. I’ve contact the HQ.”
“You sly fox.”
“We will have to part ways now. See you at lunch.” Otho said.
“Right. I will invite myself to have a lunch with you all so wait for me.”
“Go to hell, Samuel.”
“That rhymes.” Olivia said.

Lunch Time. In our usual spot, Olivia and I was the first one to arrive. And the three of them arrive together afterwards. Samuel immediately seat beside me so Alithir glared at him.
“What took you so long, we’re hungry. Let’s eat.” Olivia said. “Anyways, you should be coming to my post birthday celebration this Friday night.”
“Of course. What do you want for a gift?” Samuel asked.
“I’ll text it later. Hihi.”
“Text whom? Hey! Are you coming?” Otho asked.
“Of course. I’m a member of MA so I should be coming. You’re coming too, Anya?”
“Yes. I’m under their protection so I can.”
“Great. Ahh! Tomorrow, we are going into your house. I have a group activity with Otho and Alithir.” Samuel said.
“Really?” I asked. “That’s nice. Via…”
“I’ll be coming over too. Anya, we should bake something too. Pastry while doing their school works.” Olivia said. “Otho, what pastries do you like?”
“Really? Anything with chocolate.” Otho said.
“Noted.”
“I could buy you the ingredients. Anya, message me the things you need. I’ll bring it tomorrow.” Samuel said.
“Oh! Femi said she wants strawberry shake. We should have it too. Are the three of you sleeping over? Cause Olivia will.”
“That will be nice. Samuel, you bring your pajamas.” Otho said.
“Wait. Wait. Wait! We haven’t decided which place should we use, right? Why are you all planning for tomorrow without the house owner’s consent?” Alithir asked.
“Bro, your house is the nearest. We could save time after class.” Otho said. “And beside, Olivia will be there. We could bond together. The five of us, of course.”
“Samuel, I’m planning to bake some strawberry cupcakes too. Please buy a lot of strawberries, okay?” Olivia said.
“Sure! The theme for tomorrow will be strawberries. Anya, do you have some pink plates?”
“That’s too much. Just buy the things I’ll text. Oh! Should I cook the dinner too? So, Alithir won’t have too much in his plate.”
“You will cook? I will definitely cancel all my plans tomorrow.” Samuel excitedly said.
“What the hell is wrong with you guys?”
“Just eat, bro. C’mon, have some rice.”

The next day, Alithir and I went to school together. We have lunch with Otho, Olivia, and Samuel. Seems like this is going to be a routine. And after school, we meet up in the gate.
“I’ll just go and pick up everything. You can go ahead guys.” Samuel said and leave.
“Tsk. I hate this day.” Alithir mumbled.
“But this is fun. This is my first sleep over with my friends.”
“Me too! Let’s go! I haven’t been into your house so I’m pretty excited.” Olivia said.

When we arrived home, we change clothes first. Alithir and Otho occupied the living room for their group project. We helped them set aside the tables, chair, and put a large mat.
“Anya? Someone is calling. It says, 12.” Otho said and hand me my phone.
“Oh. Thanks.” I took and answer the phone. “Hello? Are you outside?”
[I’m here. Can you and Olivia help me unload everything?]
“Sure. Wait for me.” I hang up.
“Is that Samuel?” Alithir asked.
“Yes. He’s outside. Let’s go, Via.”
“Oh my strawberries!”
We helped Samuel unload everything and take it inside. He already changes his uniform and he took his car with him.
“What a nice home you have.” Samuel said when he looked around. “Is sergeant at work?”
“Yeah. Come here so we can finish this activity and you can leave.”
“That’s so sweet of you. Girls, I’ll leave that to you, okay?”
“Yes sir! Leave it to us. We will bake the best pastry you will ever have.”
“I like your energy, Via. You must be excited to bake something for Otho.” I whispered.
“Yes. So let’s get going!”
Olivia is so fired up. Just how nice to see someone in love without label.
“Olivia, did he confessed?”
“Not yet. Should I?”
“I don’t know. Maybe you should wait for while?”
“I also think so.”
The time passed by. We baked some strawberry cupcakes with chocolate icing (as requested by Otho). They stopped working for a while and eat with us.
“This is so good, Via!” Otho said. “You should open a shop.”
“Via, please don’t that seriously. Not now. Maybe after college.”
Via is so simple minded that she would do take someone seriously when she gets compliment. But honesty, her pastries are the best.
“This is actually good. You should bake cakes when it’s our birthday.” Samuel said.
“Really? That sounds good. Tell me when your birthdays are.”
“Why are you eating without me?” Femi said as she enters the house.
“Femi! You’re early. Its 5 p.m.” I said and helped her with her stuffs. “I have some strawberry shake and Via baked a strawberry cupcakes. Do you want to eat with us?”
“Really. Of course. Oh! Can Lieutenant join?”
“He’s here?”
“Sir Philip is here?” Alithir run into us.
“Yes. He’s just outside taking calls.”
“Anya, I’ll prepare the food.” Just how hype he is when it’s about Philip.
“S-Sure. Sam, could you help me get some chair? We are running out of chair.” I said.
“Sure! Hello, Sergeant! Nice house.”
“Good to see you here, Sam.”
“What can I do?” Olivia asked. “Ah! Hello, miss Femi.”
“Hello, sweetheart.”
“She called me sweetheart.” Olivia whispered as she push Otho into his seat.
“Via, could you please prepare some plates and glass?”
“Yes! Sure!”
“Hi, Femi. And what can I help?” Otho asked.
“Dude, you always come here. Stop imitating the girls and stay still then shut your mouth.”
“Hey! Did you just call me a girl too?” Samuel asked while arranging the chairs.
“Why? Aren’t you?
“Sergeant, it looks nice to see that your family is growing.” Philip said after hearing the fuss as he enters the house.
“It’s the more the merrier. Please come inside, Lieutenant.”
“Hello, sir. What brought you here?” I asked. I offer him a seat. “Please have a seat.”
“I’m here because of Samuel.”
“Did he get into trouble again?” Alithir asked.
“Sam, is that true?” I asked.
“No, no. I am actually here because Samuel will be staying here in your home, Ali.”
There is a moment of silence for us. All of us stopped moving except for Samuel and Femi.
“Come again?” Alithir asked while scratching his ears.
“Samuel will be staying here.”
“No way!” Alithir glared at Samuel who is smiling at him.
“We’ve finally get in touched with Anya’s parents. They can’t show up right now so they asked want her to move into Samuel’s condo.” Philip said.
“That’s another no way.” Alithir said.
Philip looked at Femi. Olivia holds my hands under the table.
“That’s why I decided to adopt Samuel into our small home.” Femi said.
“And where is he sleeping? I don’t want to share a room with him.”
“That’s no problem. Anya and I can share.” Samuel said and bump me a little.
“What the hell, Samuel. Fine! You stay in my room.” Alithir said and cross his arms.
“Excuse me… Why does Anya have to be with Samuel or Samuel have to be with Anya?” Otho asked.
“Yes. Why does he have to follow? He always follows us when having lunch too.” Alithir said while glaring at Samuel.
“You didn’t know?” Philip asked.
“Know what?” Otho asked.
“They don’t know.” Samuel said.
“We haven’t said it yet. Only Via knows.” I said.
“What is that?” Alithir asked.
We, all, looked at each other. Femi smiles.
“Anya’s real name is Samanya Astoria.” Philip said.
