Third Person’s Point Of View
A girl with a short brown hair hugged Anya from the back. Anya turned and saw her childhood friend, Olivia.
Olivia Xeil Roxley, her best friend from the orphanage. She was adopted first before Anya’s first adoption. They were so close back then.
“Via?” Anya gave her a wide smile and hugged her.
“I know it was you! Boys had been staring at you for a while. Your jet-black hair, brown eyes, and baby face. Aww my beautiful Anya, I miss you so much.”
“I miss you too. Its been a long time! You also study here?”
“Yes. Grade 11 Section A. How about you?”
“Goodness. We’re classmates!”
Now, things are now easier for Anya. She’s so happy to see her old friend. And everyone around them keeps staring at them. Anya is a beauty. Her innocent look and modesty is such a *Maria Clara to the boys. While Olivia is seen to be a confident beauty. She has a strong aura contrary to Anya. A strong, independent woman to be called.
“Bro, isn’t that Anya? Let me say hi.” Otho said when his attention was caught after Olivia calls Anya.
“Stop being too friendly. And I’ve told her to pretend we don’t know each other here.”
“You’re too harsh. She seems nice. She even got herself a friend.”

Lunch time. Alithir and Otho was seating in the cafeteria when Otho suddenly pulled Alithir’s sleeve.
“Hey, Bro… have you heard that?” Otho asked with his wide eyes.
“Huh? What?” Alithir removed Otho’s hand from his sleeve and fix it.
“The top one in the entrance exam. The one who ace the hardest entrance exam in the province.”
“Who?” he asked, uninterestedly.
“It’s Anya! Look! All eyes are in her.” Otho pointed his lips into Alithir’s back.
Alithir looked back and saw Anya and Olivia holding their tray of lunch while other boys offering them a seat for lunch.
“Sorry, bro.” Otho said. “Anya! We have space here.” He waved his hand getting Anya’s attention.
Alithir give a spoonful of rice to Otho’s mouth. “Bro, shut up. Why did yo-”
“Hi, Otho.” Anya greeted. She looked at Alithir who is avoiding her eyes.
“Yo tu ka sem heer. (You two can seat here.)” Otho said and patted the seat beside him.
“No, it’s okay. We can-” before she could finish her speech, Olivia sit beside Otho. “Oh. Thanks.”
Anya sits beside Alithir and stair at Olivia who is blushing. She grinned.
“Otho, this is Olivia. She’s my childhood best friend. It must be fate because we met earlier and we were classmates.”
Otho swallowed the food in his mouth. “Hi, Olivia. I’m Otho.” He offered his hand and Olivia, who is shaking, take it. “Are you okay?”
Olivia can’t say a word so Anya helped her. “She’s just shy. Like sometimes.”
“Okay. Oh. By the way, this is my best friend, Alithir. He is not sociable so please excuse him. Let’s eat together.”
While eating…
“Anya, I’ve heard you ace the exam? How could you speak unconfidently last time about entering Aldhigh?”
“I ace it to get a get a scholarship for papa but I didn’t know it was actually a big deal. But I nearly fail the interview because I didn’t attend on my schedule.”
“For sure he is happy right now.” Otho said.
“Yes. I wish I met him.” Olivia said.
“And look how sharp other people eyes of other students when I invited you.”
“I guess it’s also because of Via. She is the co-inventor of the latest prosthetic arm and leg under the guidance of MA.”
“No way, ” Otho’s eye widens and hold Olivia’s arm. “I’m a fan. I would like to attend your event last week but I was at the camp. I still have the ticket at home.”
“Will you finish eating first? We’re schoolmates so we will see each other everyday.” Alithir said, flashing his iconic glare.
“Bro, I can’t miss this opportunity.”
“I can take a photo of you two after eating.” Anya said.
“Really? You’re such an angel, Anya. Will it be okay with you, Ms. Olivia?”
“Via.” Olivia blushed.
“Via… Thank you.” Otho blushed.
“Goodness, you two are too obvious.” Anya mumbled.

After lunch, when they go back to their classroom and wait for the teacher, Olivia dragged her seat beside Anya.
“How do you know him? I’ve been his fan since I was recognized by the Matter Association.” Olivia asked while clinging into Anya’s arm. “I entered this school hoping to see him everyday and now… Anya, you’re such an angel. He even touched me.”
“Remember my story? I’ve been staying with your idol’s best friend but he wants me to pretend I don’t know him.”
“Best… Really? It’s A…” Olivia looks around and moves her head closer to Anya. “Let’s give him a codename. He will be A.”
Anya nodded. “How unique. And, yes. He’s so cold and he doesn’t like me.”
“Well, that’s A being A. He’s like that to everyone. He only gets along with Ot- with O. I saw them once in the HQ but he is so unapproachable.”
“That makes sense. I though he don’t like me at home.”
“But a lot of girls like him. He is famous here and he has a well known rival – Samuel, the playboy hottie. And do you know the grade 12 who is also model? Her name is Yllaine and she said that A and her are dating. But he never treated her as if they are dating.”
“I think I’ve meet that girl. Wait. You sure have your ways to gather that information.”
“Of course. I’m in the Aldhigh Online Forum. And the hottest topic today is us! Like you and I.”
“What the, let me see.”
Olivia showed her phone and the pinned post for today.
‘Who’s with Alithir During Lunch?’ – Headline
“What a headline.” Anya murmured.
‘Our beloved Alithir is having lunch with Senior High President, Otho, when two grade 11 students to eat with them. Who are they?

Is the rumored dating status of Alithir and Yllaine true? Stay tuned!’
“Look at the picture. This is our first picture together so I saved it. I’ll send this to you. Give me your number.”
Anya gave her phone to Olivia. “So this is the reason why they were staring at us during lunch. I guess A is famous here. Having lunch with him is such a big deal.”
“Of course. Handsome, smart, bad boy, a total snob, who doesn’t like that type of guy? But of course, I still like O.”
“Whatever.”

After a month. Anya was invited to celebrate Olivia’s birthday at their home during weekends. Femi let her stay for overnight in Olivia’s place so they went to the mall for shopping.
“Anya… How do I look?” Olivia asked after trying the fifth dress in the store.
“10/10.” Anya said and gives her a thumbs up.
Olivia was adopted by a rich matter-user couple. They have a small prosthetic business but it turns big when Olivia helped providing ideas making their business grow. They currently introduced a new model of prosthetic arm and leg with Olivia’s idea and sample then finalized and enhanced by his father.
“Do you like anything? I’ll buy it for you. You help me love the matter I have and turned me into who I am today.”
“Stop being dramatic, Via, and go change so that you buy me ice cream.”
“Yes, ma’am.” She clings into her arms. “But anyways, does the MA know about your matter?”
“They know I can detect someone’s matter.”
“Really? So it means I am the only one who knows your real matter?”
“Aside from my family and those guys, yes.”
“Aw… I feel flattered. I really wish I met you earlier. The orphanage never gives me your information but who cares, we have each other now. I will try finding those who posted you pictures in the black market.”
“You’ll get yourself into trouble.” Anya pushed her inside the dressing room to change.
“But you will save me, right? You are the strongest matter-user I’ve ever met.”
“With a fragile body? Yes. So go take that off. We have to buy ice cream.”
“C’mon… the longer we stay here, the better. Mom and dad asked you to keep me busy, right? They’ll surprise me when we get home?”
“Where do you get that? Stop assuming.”
“I’ve heard them last night. They called you. So stop acting. You’re not a good actress so just spill it.”
Anya laughed. “Fine. You’re right. Am I that bad at acting?”
“No. We spend most of our time together in the orphanage so I just know.”
“How?”
“It’s your ‘Where do you get that?’, Anya. That means yes to you.”
“And where do you get that?”
Olivia laughed so hard making Anya cover her mouth.
“See. I know you.”
“Shut up.”
