When I woke up the next morning I was still in my dinner dress from the night before. At first I sat up, completely startled, but then came to mind what had happened the night before, and a whole new feeling spread in my body. It was a warm and safe feeling. I lay back on the bed and closed my eyes. I let the emotions wash over me, like the waves on the lake shore down in the park. I reached out, but already knew that Pete was not lying next to me, but there was still heat where he had laid. Upon feeling this, it tingled in my fingers, every inhalation was filled with his scent and not only filled my lungs with air but my whole upper body felt filled with ... a really good feeling!?
