While Max was away, two things became clear to me.
One; someone was out to harm Maria's status.
Two; Maria was not only a wonderful Luna, she was also a good witch.
She overcame all the challenges she faced and she did so with a smile. Everyone around her was happy to help and the results were incredible. She solved our food problems, both right here and now, as well as in the long run.
Although she showed us smiles and drive, I had no doubts. She was sad, she missed Max and was afraid of losing him. I had talked to her about what had happened that morning and about how it had affected Max as much as I could without feeling that I was breaking Max's intimacy. But to be completely honest, I would probably have told her everything if she had asked.
