Those earrings

Shine felt darkness all over. Once you liked a thing very much. You were waiting for it for a long time but one day suddenly that thing was taken away by someone else. Yes Shine was in that situation. He felt his heart became heavy all of a sudden.

" Now we would like to call Shine Luthra for his performance. " host was not finished yet when Shine took his guitar and left. everybody in the hall were socked. Piyus Choudhary found this boy quite interesting. Pearl left behind Shine calling his name. "Shine what is wrong with you? Can you explain your behavior ?

" Why should I explain it to you? It's not like you are my girlfriend." it was first time Shine spoke to Pearl this way. Pearl had always seen cool side of Shine she never saw him like this before. " What on the earth is going inside that head? And what kind of attitude is this towards your professor?

"Professor? " Shine escaped a bitter laugh. " Which professor kisses there student? "

"Shine!! I never thought you would let it come out. Do you know how guilty I am for that night. It was a mistake. Please don't remind me of that. " was she guilty of that?How can she be? But how can she explain it to this boy.

"Yes why won't you become guilty? It was a mistake for you. I knew it is only me who thinks about it all day and night and feel those tingles. The thing which means a lot to me is nothing to you." Shine was at the verge of breaking down.

"Then what did you expect from that kiss? It is already too much. Let's not talk about that. " Pearl felt too ashamed to talk about this matter with a student but Shine was not just a student. He was more than that. But her stubborn mind won't let her accept that.

"Forget it. " Shine left. A tear rolled down his cheek as he turned around. Even Pearl didn't notice when tear made a way down her eyes.

The next day At Pearl's place

" Good morning uncle. I know you missed me a lot. " Jayman heard a voice when he turned around. " Oh! My child when did you returned from London? " He hugged Piyus happily. " I am fine uncle he sat on sofa putting presents for them on the tea table which he bought from London. "It's wasn't necessary. Why did you trouble yourself. " Jayman served him tea. " It was a small present from me I hope you like it."

" Yes yes I did. You know what I like best. "

"Well uncle. Where is Pearl? Yesterday I saw her at school event but I didn't get a chance to talk to her. " Piyus asked him. "She is in her room. Go talk to her. Let her know how you feel about her. " old man mocked him. He smiled shyly and headed upstairs.

" Look who is here. " Pearl startled when she heard it. "Oh God it's you. Look what a great businessman you are and still don't know how to knock. Have a seat."

" I don't like to knock at friends. "

"wow such a nice habit. So, how is Piyus Choudhary doing? " Pearl laughed.

"I think he is doing good. "Piyus said taking the seat. "Well I have a gift for you. " Piyus opened a box. There were beautiful earrings inside. "I hope you like it. "

"You didn't need to buy this for me but you are like a family member so I will accept this. " Pearl took that earrings out of sincerity.

It was dinner time when Raman came inside and gave Pearl a box. "What is this?"

"Take a look. " Raman replied. Pearl opened a box and saw a pair of earrings. Pearl was shocked to see this. "Where did you get this? " Pearl asked checking those pretty earrings. "Oh I stole them. Of course I bought it for you. It's OK if you don't like I will give them to someone else. " Raman knew she loved them but he will tease her. "You silly of course I loved them tomorrow I am going to wear them. " Pearl was very happy. Raman started eating smiling he saw her so happy. His sister was his first love. He never saw her mother. She passed away when he was about 3 years old so he doesn't remember but it was her sister who always took care of him like a mother. She never slept before him and always checked whether he is fine or not. Nobody ever dared to bully him. He misses his another sister too. Bini was always abroad but he thinks one day they all be living together.

Next day at BCU

Shine was not in the mood of going college but he went. He doesn't know why. Shine was hopeless now. At first Raman told him a lot of things . Later he saw Piyus Choudhary and then the conversation with Pearl also made him dissapointed. But today doesn't seem good too. It was not longer when he again heard someone saying " Today Miss Pearl looks different right? I heard her fiance gifted her those earrings. " Shine left in anger when his eyes fell on the beautiful earrings Pearl was wearing.
