"Come on kids. Your sweet is ready. Eat it while it's hot. " grandma called them serving the dish. Shine couldn't finish his sentence. He was disappointed but suddenly he thought what if she rejected him. It's not so long they knew each other and she might not be comfortable. He suddenly thanked god that he didn't let it out.

"I hope you like it child." grandma served to Pearl smiling. "I am waiting grandma. Since you got guest you forgot your grandson." Shine started making faces. "Okay okay... I am not forgetting you. Take it." grandma served him too. Pearl smiled seeing him and took a spoonful of carrot sweet. But her eyes filled with tear as she swallowed it.

"What happened child. You don't like it? Why are you crying?" grandma asked rushing toward her. Shine had already left his spoon. He had never seen her crying. He was very afraid. He rushed by her side " wh...what happened Pearl. Why are you crying? You... You don't like here? Are you feeling lonely? I will take you home right now." Pearl smiled a little seeing their concern and said "I am fine. Why are you worrying this much. It's just this dish remind me the taste of my mother. She used to make it for me. I suddenly remembered her. It is exactly same as her."

"Oh... That's it. God I was scared. I will make you more in the future. Keep visiting me. Poor thing." grandma patted her head gently just like she got her grand daughter back. Shine was relived that she was fine. "silly." Shine caressed her cheeks as he wiped the tears and got back to his seat. Pearl was suddenly startled by his behaviour.

Next morning Pearl and Shine got ready to leave. Grandma came out bringing a box with her. She gave it to Pearl. "These are Pickles I made. Take them with you. Grandma doesn't have anything else to give you."

"Thank you so much grandma i love it. You gave me a lot of love I really appreciate it. I will surely visit you again."

" Okay child keep visiting. For a while I thought my grand daughter is back. She would be of your age if she was alive. I missed her a lot but you filled her emptiness. You are a very warm person. I wish you a good luck for your future. The one who marries you is very lucky." this sent tingling in Shine's stomach. He couldn't help but smile. Grandma came near Shine and slowly said in his ear" I know you like her. I like her too." Shine was shocked because he was caught. Grandma laughed seeing his grandson. They bid their goodbye to her and left.

They soon reached at Pearl's house. After they got off Pearl invited Shine in. "Why don't you come in and grab some snack?" Shine wanted to go in bit he need to be formal. "It's okay I will come some other day. And I am bare handed. I should have brought something for prof. Sharma." "It's okay he won't mind. Just come." Pearl giggled and hold his hand by wrist and pulled him inside. Shine's heart skipped a beat by this bold action. She never touched him so of course it was bold for him. But Pearl hadn't realized that because she was used to Shine somehow. Jayman was reading his newspaper as soon as he saw his daughter he kept it aside. "Hey Sulu. You are back. Oh. You are not alone?" Jayman got rid of his spectacles and wrinkled his forehead but he smiled soon. "Oh. It's you. " He grinned and welcomed Shine happily. "How are you my boy? " he threw his arms around his shoulder. "I am totally fit but how are you doing old man?" Shine asked sitting on the sofa. Pearl also made herself comfortable on sofa. She was amused seeing there friendly conversation. "I am good now." Old man replied sarcastically. "You are still same professor but we miss you alot. You should visit sometime."

"I will." he laughed but soon he realized something "By the way why were you coming together?" Pearl flinched a bit but she soon made up "We...we met at the highway while I was coming back from my friend's. So he dropped me home." "I see. Well you guys sit here. I will do some hospitality for this guest." Shine smiled and shook his head. "I never new that you both have such a good relation." Pearl said leaning towards sofa. "Umm. He was my favourite professor back then." Shine replied smiling at her. "But you didn't show me around. After all I came here for the first time." Shine pouted trying to be cute. Pearl couldn't help but laugh. "Okay. I will be showing come on. Pearl took the lead and showed him around. "And this one is my room." Shine looked around and mesmerized to see the childhood pictures of Pearl. "Umm. You looked better when you wer a kid." Shine was still concentrating on photo when he got a step on his shoulder. "Ouch that hurts. So, you are angry. Haha you are funny when you are angry." Pearl faked a angry look. "Actually you look cute." but her eyes softened as soon as she heard those words. "But you look cheesy. " she replied hitting him back. "Actually I want to thank you for yesterday. I was very happy to meet grandma. Thank you Shine. She smiled looking at him. Shine's heart started beating fast. He wanted to hug her. He wanted to be her support. Every second his love increased for her. He wanted to touch her cheeks and wanted to say, 'I am happy if you are happy'. But he could only say "It's okay. She was also amused to see you." Pearl gestured him to sit on the couch.
