Are we destined?

An accident

It was 12 pm but Shine couldn't sleep. He turned right and left but it was no use. He turned on his phone and started scrolling f*******:. Only thing inside his head was Pearl. He started watching Pearl's profile. Smile automatically came on his lips as soon he saw her profile picture. She was holding a rabbit in a white casual gown. It was not revealing but very beautiful. His Pearl was really very beautiful. Shine sent her friend request but he became sour as soon as he saw Piyush in her friend list. He wanted to block him forever from Pearl's life but it was not to him to decide.

Shine woke up with vibration of his phone. It was a notification. His eyes were not properly opened but as soon as he saw notification he couldn't feel sleepy at all. Pearl has accepted his friend request. He felt very happy. He got up and got ready. It was Monday after all. He needed to go to university. He was very happy. At first Pearl gave him company to grandma then invited him to her house and than accepted his friend request. He started his motorcycle and went to college. Today he was lucky. He was in his thoughts when he took a turn in turning point a car came out of nowhere and collided with him.

It was 10 pm. already but Shine was still unconscious. His mother was sitting outside the ICU sobbing on Emily's shoulder. Emily was consoling her. His father was sitting opposite to his wife. There were man beside him in black suit. Pearl was sitting on bench which was quite far from his family members. This morning when she went to class but couldn't find Shine. She wondered why this boy didn't came to class today. When she finished her lesson and was about to go back but she heard someone saying that Shine had an accident and was in city hospital right now. She felt like sky fell down. She couldn't wait anymore and rushed to hospital. But she didn't had courage to go inside. Her eyes were red because of crying. She was crying without knowing why she is crying this much for the person she just met 1 or 2 month ago. She was still sobbing when her phone rang.

"Hello."

"Why are you crying sulu? Is the situation too critical?" his father asked panicking. He never saw his child this broken before.

"I don't know." she broke down again. She heard some footsteps coming towards her. "Hello Ms. Pearl."

She looked back to see who it was. It was Shine's father standing there. She got up from her seat and wiped her tears away. "H.... Hello Mr. Luthra."

"He is fine now. Doctor said he will wake up anytime soon but isn't it odd for a professor to be concerned about her student like this. It will hurt you if you have any other expectation from him. I have other plans for him. You would better leave him."

"I never possessed him." Pearl let out a bitter laugh.

Finally Shine woke up at 8 am next day. When he opened his eyes he was disappointed because he couldn't find the person he wanted to see. Maybe she didn't know about him. She must have visited him if she knew it. He comforted himself. "How are you feeling now?" asked Emily who was standing at the end of bed. He smiled gently and nodded his head. His mother was sitting at the edge of bed patting his head slowly. "Why were you so careless on road? How am I supposed to live if something happens to you. You know that you are my only child." Shine's mother started sobbing again. "Mom I am fine. And I was not careless either. I will never leave you."he kissed his mother's hand. His mother smiled at his son and started peeling apple for him. "I called your father telling that you are fine. By the way there was a girl last night. She was crying so much. God knows what happened to her family. I wish whoever she is worried about gets well soon."

Shine looked at Emily with curiosity. "It was prof. Pearl. Maybe her father was sick. We were worried about you so I couldn't ask her. I will ask Raman now. " she took out her phone to call Raman but the scene of that night came in her mind. She hesitated whether she should call or not.

"Forget it." Shine replied. 'Was she here for me? ' he thought. A wide grin came on his lips.
