Horrific Night

Alisha walked over to Panchi, who had just finished her chocolate shake but had managed to get chocolate all around her little mouth, making her look incredibly cute. Seeing this, Alisha smiled and, while cleaning her mouth with a tissue, gently said, “Baby, didn’t I teach you how to drink it properly? Then how did you manage to get it all over your face?” Panchi pouted and replied, “Mumma, I get too excited when I see chocolate, so I ate it fast fast and finished it!” Alisha glanced at the window and noticed it was already nighttime. She then told Panchi, “Baby, now it’s time to sleep.” Saying this, Alisha started covering her with a blanket, but Panchi, after thinking for a moment, lovingly asked, “Mumma, how long will we stay here? Won’t we go back to our home?” Hearing this, Alisha fell silent for a few seconds and thought to herself, “Until I get my land back, I won’t return.” Then, Alisha softly explained to Panchi, “Baby, remember when we came here, I told you that Mumma has important work here, and it might take many days? We’ve only been here for a day, so why are you already asking to go back?” Panchi, sounding sad, said, “Mumma, I don’t like staying in a hotel, and I want to play outside too. But here, no one takes me out, so I want to go back to our home.” Hearing this, Alisha fell silent again. She knew Panchi loved playing outside and couldn’t stay confined in one place for long. Thinking for a moment, she turned to Neel and asked, “Neel, can we rent an apartment here?” Hearing this, Neel said, “Why not? Just tell me what kind of apartment you want, and I’ll buy it today itself.” Alisha, making a face, replied, “Neel, I’m not talking about buying it. I’m talking about renting one with my own money. Although I don’t earn much as a fashion designer yet, I’ve earned enough in my two-year career to afford a place for my Panchi, where she can make friends and play with everyone. That way, she won’t have to stay locked in this hotel room.” Alisha lovingly stroked Panchi’s head. Neel, realizing her determination, said, “Okay, fine! I get it. You’re an independent woman who doesn’t need my help. Well, I’ll find an apartment for you, and we’ll shift there tomorrow.” Panchi, overjoyed, exclaimed, “Yay! Neel Uncle is the best! Now we’ll go to our new home!” Seeing Panchi so happy, a smile spread across Alisha’s face too. She gazed at Panchi, who had become her reason for living. But three years ago, when Panchi had come into her life, Alisha had felt like she was going to die. Watching Panchi, Alisha’s thoughts drifted back to her past, three years ago. --- Flashback After that horrific night, as Alisha hurriedly left the hotel room, she heard the sound of laughter coming from another room down the hallway. The laughter was familiar, and Alisha instinctively walked toward the room. When she got closer, she saw two people on the bed, lost in each other. They were so engrossed that they didn’t notice the door slightly ajar, through which Alisha could hear their laughter and the sound of them kissing. The sight made the ground slip from beneath Alisha’s feet. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing—her sister Nitara and her best friend Niyam, together. The same best friend she trusted blindly and had started to fall in love with. But seeing them in each other’s arms like this, Alisha’s eyes widened in shock. Just then, she heard Nitara speak, “Niyam, baby, how long will you keep pretending to be friends with my ugly sister? Why don’t you just tell her you don’t want to be friends with her and that you only love me?” Playing with Nitara’s hair, Niyam replied, “Nitara, you know I’m only staying connected with her for my benefit. She’s so smart, and I make her do all my college work. That fool does everything for me. When I get to my final year of college, I’ll end this fake friendship with her, and then it’ll be just you and me.” Nitara, smirking slyly, said, “Baby, no one will ever come between us. We’ll stay together and keep Alisha away from us. Who does she think she is, some kind of beauty queen?” In response, Niyam laughed and said, “Baby, she’s no queen; she’s an ugly duckling.” Nitara burst into loud laughter. Hearing their conversation, Alisha couldn’t believe her ears. Her steps faltered, and tears streamed down her cheeks. Turning away from them, Alisha left the hotel. She didn’t return to the trip that day but instead went straight back to her uncle and aunt’s Edward Villa. --- Why did Nitara and Niyam do this to Alisha? Who is behind this conspiracy? Who played with Alisha’s emotions like this? Find out in "Pregnant by the Alpha King"!
