Vincent smirked. "That's easy. You can have me."
He flipped her over, pinning her beneath him. Dorothy quickly pressed a hand against his chest and hurriedly made her demand.
"I want you to marry me," she said.
He looked down at the woman in his arms. She didn't seem to be joking.
There was a time when he thought she would become his bride.
But seeing her so happy and radiant by another man's side, he had let her go.
Last night, as he claimed her, he admitted to himself that it was a shameless pleasure, and he was grateful to be her first.
This woman had a purity and innocence that belied her appearance. He suddenly recalled how Katherine had once mentioned that Dorothy was known as the "Camellia Girl" among the elites of Northon.
It seemed the Sunite family wasn't as happy and harmonious as rumors suggested. Vincent was beginning to piece things together.
"Stealing your sister's fiancé? Aren't you afraid of being condemned?"
Dorothy suddenly laughed, a glint flashing in her eyes.
"I don't care what others think. I care more about you."
Vincent was shocked, and he couldn't help but mock himself inwardly.
He knew she had ulterior motives, yet he still found himself drawn to her. How infuriating.
He sighed quietly and asked, "Why?"
"What do you mean, why?" Dorothy rarely looked confused.
Vincent lifted her chin, absentmindedly rubbing her smooth skin.
"Why do you want me to marry you?"
"Let me see..."
She smiled faintly, her expression unusually calm.
"I hate Katherine. Is that reason enough?"
She sat up, gathering her long hair into a bun, revealing her smooth, alluring back. "Ever since my mother married into the Sunite family, Katherine has targeted me. At school, she led the bullying. At home, she took everything that was mine. She loves you so much. So, marrying you would be the perfect revenge against her and the Sunite family."
"So, I'm just a tool for your revenge?" Vincent replied coolly, "Marrying you doesn't sound like a good deal."
"But... you don't seem to have much of a choice right now."
He raised an eyebrow, giving her a steady look. "Seems like you've made other plans."
Dorothy smiled slyly, "Today is my ovulation day, and you didn't use protection, did you?"
Vincent chuckled. To think someone dared to threaten him—how amusing.
"You really think a child could threaten me? Dorothy, you're still too naive."
"I know it's not enough to make you give in."
Dorothy bit her lip and then continued, "I heard your cousin is competing for the Francis Memorial Bridge project in Northon. What if I told you I could secure that project for you and, at the same time, deal with those annoying Valentine 'flies'?"
Vincent studied the young woman before him.
That project was one that James' team had been working on for twenty days without success.
What gave her such confidence?
This was getting more and more interesting.
"And if you fail?"
Without hesitation, she replied, "Then we'll pretend none of this ever happened. I promise I won't bother you again."
He smirked with a hint of challenge. "Alright, deal. But you only have two weeks. You know why."
In two weeks, he was set to be engaged to Katherine.
Dorothy paused in the middle of dressing. A smile suddenly lit up her face, tickling something deep inside Vincent like a feather.
She leaned on the bed, her finger tracing his jaw as she drew closer.
Just as Vincent moved to kiss her, she turned her head slightly, letting his lips brush her cheek instead.
"Don't worry. I won't give you a chance to break our deal."
She trailed her fingers down his chest, grabbed her phone from the pillow, and sat up on the edge of the bed.
The hug he expected didn't come, so he pulled her back into his arms.
"Leaving already?"
Dorothy was about to speak, but before she could, Vincent's phone rang.
It was Katherine. Vincent watched Dorothy suddenly stiffen as he answered the call on speaker.
Katherine's anxious, sugary voice filled the room. "Vincent, my sister didn't come home last night. Oh God, I'm so worried about her..."
Dorothy felt nothing but disgust at Katherine's phony concern.
This was how she would constantly drop hints to everyone about Dorothy's "wild and reckless" lifestyle under the guise of sisterly care.
Vincent turned his head, his gaze filled with curiosity and amusement.
"Don't worry. She's with me."
Dorothy's eyes widened in shock. What a jerk! He was doing this on purpose!
Katherine's enraged scream came through the phone. "Dorothy? What is she doing with you?"
'Well,' Dorothy thought, 'what's done is done. I have to face Katherine's wrath sooner or later.'
"Good morning, dear sister," Dorothy said calmly into the phone and then waved to Vincent as she turned to leave the room.
'Bye-bye!' she mouthed silently, leaving Vincent to deal with the fallout.
Consider that a small interest payment for sleeping with her.
At 9:30 AM, Dorothy returned to the Sunite Estate, feeling drained.
The first thing she saw when she walked in was Katherine sitting on the sofa.
Katherine shot her a disdainful look and sneered, "Well, well, my dear stepsister, did you really think Vincent would go for someone like you? Must have been tough getting thrown out after throwing yourself at him. I have to hand it to you—shamelessness must be a family trait of yours."
Dorothy met her glare and smiled. It seemed Vincent had brushed her off.
However, she didn't mind adding fuel to the fire.
"I actually had a lovely night, but you look like you didn't get a wink of sleep. Just look at those dark circles. If Vincent wasn't scared off by you, he must have been grossed out."
Dorothy pulled out her phone, opened her photo gallery, and found a screenshot from a video she had secretly taken. She held it up for Katherine to see.
Katherine only needed one glance to recognize who the entwined figures were.
Her face twisted with rage, and she raised her hand to slap Dorothy.
"You b***h! You actually dared to seduce my man!"
Dorothy caught her wrist, lifting her chin and raising an eyebrow at her.
"Katherine, remember when you stole Jamie from me? You said that if someone could be stolen, they were never yours to begin with. I'm just giving your words back to you."
"Dorothy, you w***e! I'll tear your face apart!"
Katherine lunged at Dorothy like a mad woman.
Dorothy was taller than Katherine, and though she was slim, she was strong.
She swiftly twisted Katherine's arm and slapped her hard, sending her crashing onto the carpet.
"Enough!" A man's deep voice, laced with barely restrained fury, suddenly boomed through the room.
