Chapter 2

Nina's lips tightened as her nostrils flared in anger and she took the flower vase from the top of the table that sat in the center of the room and threw it towards Jacob.

"You coward. Bastard. How can you do this to me? I loved you. I did everything you wanted and always shared everything I had with you" Nian screamed in anger as she took the glass cup from the table and threw it again towards them but it smashed on the blue-painted wall.

Jacob and Camila instantly got off the bed."Are you hurt? Tell me if she hurt you" Jacob ignored Nina and focused his attention on Camila as he checked her hands to see if she was in any way injured.

"Yes I'm fine" Camila replied.

"What is wrong with you? You just interrupted us. Why didn't you call to inform me that you were coming?" Jacob and Camila quickly put on their clothes.

Nina could not believe that Jacob was speaking this way to her. She was even too shocked to say a word. Nina usually called whenever she was coming to his place but this time, she decided to surprise him because she had news for him but it seemed like they also had news for her too.

Nina stared at her boyfriend in disbelief. She instantly charged towards Camila who suddenly hid behind Jacob's back but Jacob stopped Nina from coming closer as he pushed her backward slightly.

Nina looked at her best friend whom she shared everything.

"Camila, how could you do this? I'm your bestfriend for f**k sake. You're disgusting. b***h. Asshole. I'll kill you. I'll kill both of you" Nina screamed in anger as she took the small frame of Jacob's picture and threw it towards Jacob and Camila but the frame crashed on the wall and the pieces of glass cut Camila's arm.

The moment Jacob realized that Camila was hurt, he walked to where Nina stood and his right hand came in contact with his left cheek. Nina whose eyes were on the floor after the slap couldn't believe what just happened.

Nina slowly raised her head to look at the man whom she once treasured. His gaze was cold and sharp. His black eyes held no emotions. She was willing to give up her life for Jacob. He was her everything. Jacob had never hit her before but he always attempted to but seeing him do it now was unbelievable.

Nina started sobbing as she sat on the ground in tears. She placed her hand on her chest, squeezing her shirt tightly trying to subsidize the pain she felt in her heart but the pain only grew. For once, she prayed to wake up from this dream.

" Let's go, Camila," Jacob said as he held Camila's hands and made a move to walk past Nina but with the little strength left in Nina, she dragged Camila back by her hair and held onto it tightly.

"How can you hurt me like this? I trusted you. I shared everything with you. I did so many things for you because I loved you. Is this how you repay me? By sleeping with my boyfriend? You knew I loved Jacob. You knew I cared so much about him. How can you hurt me like this" Nina who was so focused on dealing with Camila by dragging her hair in anger suddenly felt a sharp pain in her head.

Jacob dragged Nina by her hair and flung her across the room. Nina felt pain in her body but she still tried to stand up. "Jacob please you're hurting me. I love you so much and you said you would marry me and never leave me"

Jacob scoffed and gazed at her with an amused face "Marry you? What benefit will I get from marrying you? An ugly-looking omega like you would benefit me nothing but gossip and mockery"

Jacob's words hurt Nina so much. The reality that she was going to be alone again just like the way she was alone when her father died scared her. "Okay. You don't have to marry me but just keep me with you. I can't live without you, Jacob. I don't mind seeing you and Camila together. I pretend like I don't know what's happening"

Nina didn't want to lose Jacob. Over the past few years of being together, she had completely fallen in love with him. After her father died, She was glad that she found the perfect one but now, it seems like he wasn't the perfect one after all.

"Are you deaf? He said he doesn't want anything with you. Get that into your thick skull. He is no longer your boyfriend but mine. We are now together. Know that and know peace" Camila spat out furiously. Camila was pissed with the way Nina dealt with her and scattered her hair.

"Baby let's prove to her that we are serious about what we are saying by sealing a kiss" Jacob suggested as he looked at Nina with a smirk on his face.

"Of course baby," Camila said as she locked lips with Jacob who held her tightly on her waist and even caressed her ass through the busy con dress she wore. They both moaned out loudly as they engaged in a deeper kiss.

Nina felt her nails dig into her palm as more tears rushed down her cheeks. She stood up and charged towards Camila in anger.

"You s**t. Animal. You're heartless and shameless. Of all the men you want to have, you choose my man. You're a b***h" Nina slapped Camila aggressively on her cheek and head, holding her hair and pulling with force. Nina who was so focused on dealing with Camila suddenly felt a sharp pain in her back.

She turned around and stared at Jacob's hands to see the pack stake in his hands while she touched her back to feel a liquid rushing out of her body. Nina didn't need anyone to tell her it was blood. "What have you done?" Nina asked as terror and panic flashed through her eyes.

Jacob widened his eyes as he saw Nina suddenly becoming pale and gasping for breath. The pack stake was a magic weapon that was only used on outsiders when there was war and the person in possession of the stake was the pack beta.

"What have I done?" Jacob asked, dropping the stake on the floor as fear and disbelief flashed through his eyes.

Nina held her neck tightly trying to breathe when Camila walked towards her and pressed the stake again into Nina but this time, on her stomach. Camila was pissed with the way Nina beat her and she wasn't going to let it slide.

Nina looked at the one person whom she trusted and called a best friend with disbelief and shock written all over her face. Camila gazed at Nina with hate and anger in her eyes. "There's nothing that you can do now is there? Forget about Jacob and live well in the afterlife" Camila spat out venomously.
