Nina crashed on her bed without taking off her clothes the instant she got home from work. She wanted nothing more than to sleep because she was exhausted. Being promoted just increased her workload and she is already thinking maybe it was a bad idea.
Nina groaned as the sharp ringing tone of her phone broke the silence in the room. She didn't want to pick but the caller was very relentless. She picked up the call and placed it on her ear without saying a word.
"Check the news" the person at the other end of the line uttered, making Nina jump to her feet the instant she realized that it was Marvis speaking. Nina hung up as she quickly went through her phone and what she saw made her flabbergasted.
