She had forgotten completely about her birthday and this little act of his was unexpected. The last person who had a surprise birthday for her was her late father and seeing all these now brought lots of memories.
She had even forgotten about her birthday and never even thought about the day's date. Marvis walked up to her and he engulfed her in a hug from behind.
Nina calmed down a little after pouring tears that stained Marvis' blue sleeves. "Thank you for this" Nina uttered as she sniffed and tried to calm herself down.
"It's nothing" Marvis uttered, using his thumb to wipe away the remaining tears on her cheeks as he kissed her forehead and placed it on his chest. "Let's eat '' Nina nodded her head in agreement as Marvis drew out her chair for her to sit before he sat.
