Years has passed, Helen now lives with the driver (Henry), his wife (Anna) and their only daughter (Olivia) in another city far from her parents. Anna maltreats and beats her mercilessly, whenever she makes little mistakes. She hawks for Anna while Olivia goes to school. Henry most times pities Helen whenever Anna beats her and as such he starts to like the young girl because of her good nature. "We don't have to keep maltreating Helen, she deserves to be in school like Olivia and other children. I don't see it as a good idea Anna, because Olivia is not brilliant enough. Let's try and send Helen to school, am sure she will do more better than Olivia" Henry said. " Never speak ill of my daughter again. This girl is not our child, wasting money on her will be to our own disadvantage. Am sure one day, she will meet her real parents and they will take her back" Anna replied Henry loudly. Helen is a good girl, she always do the right thing at the right time and she obeys Henry and Anna. " Mum, I just finished sweeping the house now, can I get some rest now?" she asked. " No way! you must hawk the remaining fruits, when you get home , make sure you wash the dishes and clean the whole rooms and compound before you get rest" she replied her arrogantly. Helen could imagine Olivia and other kids go to school she ask Henry " Father, why am I not going to school like Olivia and other children? " Henry is speechless and couldn't answer Helen immediately but thinks of something to tell her, " dear, there is no money to send you and your sister to school. But I promise you will join Olivia in the next session" he replied. ➡️➡️Saturday. Olivia is at home today, she tries to put Helen in trouble. She push a plate from the table and the plate breaks into pieces. She told her mum Helen broke the plate while playing with it. Helen tried to defend herself but fails. Anna beats Helen and she cries bitterly.
