March 1991Katrina ganged up with Debbie when the
Easter holidays arrived in late March. Daisy had exams to sit and pass in the
next few months. Therefore, she must study and not go out all that much. If she
studied her little head off during the days, Katrina would reward her with some
company early evenings.
Not for long, mind. Daisy needed
plenty of sleep so’s her brain could rest
itself well.
It was the closest they ever came
to an argument. When Daisy moaned that she was bored, bored, bored of reading and studying her textbooks, Katrina rounded on her. They were in
Daisy’s bedroom, papers scattered everywhere, and an ambitious study timetable
pinned to the cork noticeboard.
