Daisy saw Kippy, his lanky figure placing him above most people’s head height. He raised a hand, his fingertips touching the ceiling and beckoned them through. The floors felt sticky underneath. Stood next to Kippy, Daisy noticed his smell had changed. Now, there was the washing powder, Lynx and beer—a sour, yeasty scent that she quickly decided she liked.
