A TRIP AND A FAVOURThe cycle ride back was marginally more comfortable, starting as it did downhill. It was still a challenge to keep up with Katrina who cycled as if she was jet-fuelled, and in no time the gap between her and Daisy widened. A horn beeped loudly as a van sailed past her, almost making her fall off her bike. An arm waved at her from the passenger side, but the vehicle didn’t stop. It beeped again at Katrina when it passed her. Katrina stopped her bike to wait for Daisy to catch up. “That was Kippy,” she said. “They must have got that job finished early.
