“4 of Clubs!” ‘I’m safe!’ Luna cursed as she breathed a sigh of relief. ‘That almost killed me in shock. Thankfully, picking the same number does not matter anymore.’ “You are one lucky b*tch,” Tarantino smiled provocatively. It was then that Marco took his turn. ‘Marco would be an ideal roommate, he seems like a gentleman,’ Luna thought. ‘Come on!’ “King of Clubs!” ‘There we go!! Lucky is still me!’ “Lady Luna and Dr. Marco will be roommates. The deck will be shuffled!” After the two had left the game, only six remained. Eve, Tarantino, and the other four who hadn't introduced themselves yet. Who took the turn was an elegant lady with flawless skin. Her demeanor was that of a princess, and there was no trace of immortality in her movements. She was like a young lotus flower, void of any imperfections from the world. Coupled with her golden hair and azure eyes, she seemed to come straight out of a sculptor's gallery. “Ace of Hearts!” “I hope it would not be too much trouble for the princess if I happen to be your roommate,” the gentleman who just took his turn said, with a polite smile. “It would be my pleasure to have you, sir Arthur,” the princess replied with a dazzling smile. “I yearn for faith to allow it, Lady Dianne,” Arthur said. ‘It would be your pleasure indeed. Look at that man! Those muscles, those arms! He looks like a warrior! I bet he could take Tarantino,’ Luna thought. … “Hoho? Isn't that ‘The Bodyguard’ Arthur?” one of the spectators asked. “He is! He is famous for having no clients scratched! Such a decorated individual perfectly matched for the last princess of Europe,” Loki added. … “7 of Hearts!” “Oh, would you look at that, fate is smiling,” Arthur said with a wide smile. “It would appear so,” Dianne replied in kind. The rounds continued to progress until the last lady, who had not introduced herself, turn came. She was the very lady that sat on Marco’s lap at the beginning of the day, still wearing her lustful smile. “Darling, it seems like none of the girls like you very much. Don't worry, though, I will play with you,” she temptingly smiled at Tarantino, making the latter’s perverted smile wider. … “It seems like the pig had met his match! Who is she again?” A spectator asked. “Madame! She is Raven, a killer - an assassin,” Loki said with a serious look that had not appeared since the beginning of the show. “Well, two psychopaths found each other, what a love story.” … “There we have it! Here are our partners!” “Dawn and Theos!” “Luna and Marco!” “Dianne and Arthur!” “Raven and Tarantino!” “Eve and Albert!” … “Hang on, that Albert is the prodigy of the east, right? The genius whose mind is faster than a computer?” “Absolutely spot on, monsignor! A twisted person if I have ever known one!” … As the partners entered their rooms, they found a cozy place with a single king size bed and all other necessities in place. “I’m going to be straight with you, we will not be sleeping on the same bed,” Luna said with an authoritative tone. Her cuteness disappeared for good as she wiped her makeup. Her plump cheeks were no more, revealing a breathtaking lady with a cold charm. “You look quite different with makeup,” Marco said with a slow smile. “Why, of course, that's why I was wearing one.” “I did not know that makeup changes personalities too.” “Oh, please, you must be old enough to know that people are not nice,” Luna looked at him in disbelief. “I’m young. Also, I’m nice,” Marco said with a soft smile, making Luna’s head turn in bewilderment. “Are you a child?” “I’m 21. An adult!” “Ho? You seem like a baby boy, though. So innocent, so naive,” Luna mocked as she folded her clothes in the bed. “I’m not!” Marco replied as if a child was throwing a tantrum. “I am an experienced doctor at the age of 21! A prodigy!” “Prodigy, my sweet life,” Luna smirked. ‘I was already an FBI agent at the age of 18!’ “All that studying you did. I bet you are still green in the sac,” Luna mocked. At her remark, Marco turned green and was flushed. Luna could not help but remember the interaction between Marco and Raven earlier. ‘So that's why he freaked out. He’s a virgin.’ “It seems like I do not have to worry, my roommate is such a sweet boy,” Luna continued. “Baam!” The sound of a body hitting the wall echoed through the room. “W-what are you doing?” Luna said as she pinned her head closer to the wall to move it farther away from Marco's face who was only an inch away from hers, but it was to no avail. She was pinned to the wall by Marco's body. “I'm not so green, aren't I?” Marco said, but he was shaking. His face was red in shame as well. Of course, Luna caught up immediately. “Tsk. A baby boy trying to be a pig. That is the wrong road, sweetheart,” Luna said as she patted Marco's cheeks and pushed him to the side. “You're a doctor, you will find a lady soon.” “Because I'm a doctor?” Marco asked in confusion. “Oh, yes. Don't get me wrong you're handsome and all, but being a doctor is your most attractive trait. At least to ordinary girls.” “So, are you an ordinary girl?” Marco provocatively asked, trying his best to cover up his embarrassment. “Oh, quit trying to be a man. You're green,” Luna teased looking at his lower body as she made the comment, making Marco back off and stop his futile attempts. “I was busy studying,” Marco suddenly said in a low tone. “I know, honey. Hang on, is that why you joined? To find love?” Luna asked with wide eyes. “Huh? Of course! Isn't that the reason for everyone?” Marco replied as if it was such an obvious answer. “How naive! Oh, please, don't let me be burdened by your naivety,” Luna slapped her forehead in worry. ‘Here I thought I landed a decent partner. I should have gone for that Arthur guy,’ Luna thought. As the partners settled down, an alarm went off the house. ‘What now?’
